Extremely Disappointed!!
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience and if I had known before this Journey what I know today I would NEVER had gone to Mexico and Marco Carmona. My disappointment regards both the lack of information given beforehand, the bad results and total lack of aftercare and care.
First, before my trip I got a price for doing both a breastlift and a tummy-tuch - which was ok for both surgeries. I was told that he wanted to divide the surgery in two parts, first to do the breastlift and a week after to do the tummy-tuck - according to the information given to me he usually divides these surgeries like this.
So I decided to take a leave from work for 3 weeks and travel 20 h to go to Marco Carmona and do both surgeries. BIG MISTAKE!
When I arrived in Mexico I went to have the bloodtests needed and Marco Carmona didnt say anything about any issues with the results of the bloodtest at this time, No discussions at all. He planned to do the breastlift the day after.
At the meeting the day before the breastlift there were No mentioning and No talk at all about my bloodtest result. There was also No discussions that I would have scars from the breastlift all the way onto my back! He said that I would have an anchor scar only.
Day of surgery I did not meet the doctor - which is the absolute normal procedure with other plastic Surgeons. So I wake up with these incredible scars all the way onto my back. Big surprise there! Also he had done some liposuction - which I was totally Unaware of that he was gonna do.
The discussions for this surgery was only a breastlift. I do not mind the lipo done but he had not mentioned this beforehand and was nothing I had said I wanted in this area (around the breasts). So lack of communication.
Ok, so after this I was a bit concerned but still wanted to do the tummytuch as decided and planned. So after almost a week Marco Carmona wanted me to take another bloodtest.... which I was totally unaware of. Another cost. But went and took it. After the results came back and I met with Marco Carmona he told me that he wouldn’t be able to do the tummytuch... I was shocked!!! This was why I came to Mexico....! He told me my hemoglobin level was to low.... the level had to be atleast 14.5 for him to do a tummy tuch.... The normal values lies between about 11-15 - so he said it had to be almost at the highest or he never does a tummy tuch....This was the first time I ever heard of this!
When I arrived in Mexico, the first bloodtest I did I had normal values, it was 11.8. And he did not tell me When he received this and at our first meeting for the breastlift that this was to low for doing a tummy tuch!!!! So When We met the day before the breastlift he knew already then that he would never perform the tummy tuch!!! And he never told me that!!! He should have told me at that time - because then I could have made the decision not to do the breastlift, go home and get my bloodlevels up before doing any surgery! So this is incredible! He did not tell me, before I travelled all the way to Mexico, that my hemoglobin level had to be at the very top (if he would have told me that I could have done the tests in my homecountry beforehand, before paying all that money to travel 20 hours!!!). Also he could have told me directly at the first meeting, before the breastlift as he already then knew that he would never do the tummytuch as my levels was not at the very top! So SNEAKY!!! He probably didnt tell me because he knew I probably would wait to do any surgery at all if I knew that he would not do the procedures that was decided, confirmed, before I travelled to Mexico. I would never trust this person again!
So back to the ”aftercare” of the brestlift. I was not given any antibiotic cream at all to put on my scars after the surgery. So pretty much No aftercare what so ever!! After 1 week and 2 days I fly back home, as the tummytuch never happened.
When I came back to my homecountry I directly went and visited a real surgeon. He was shocked over the scars... wondered why the scars were all the way on to my back. The scars were also in very bad Shape and I directly got antibiotic cream to put on 3 times a day. I’m so happy I met this doctor When I came home otherwise I don’t know what the scars would have been like. As there was No aftercare at all with Marco Carmona.
So the pictures attached shows my breast 5 weeks after surgery... so bad!! So badly done!!
I will need to do restructive surgery to get this well. I will have such a big scar on this breast as it is not healed at all. I do not know what Marco Carmona did on this breast - but it is not OK!
He has also not commented back to me or contacted me at all even though ha has seen these pictures and he knows how bad this is - and that I will have enormous scars on my breast. So bad!!!
I’m incredible disappointed and wouldnt recommend him to anyone!

I think that the main reason of your disappointment is that you traveled 20 hours and it wasn't possible to do all the surgeries discussed upfront via email. It is difficult to do an online consultation just based on pictures, most of the times everything proceeds as planed but sometimes, after examining the patient in person and having the blood results, it´s not possible. Danny blocked the day for your tummy tuck surgery in the agenda, so I had no other surgery that day. I refused to do the tummy tuck of yours because it was to risky and I didn´t want to put your life in danger. I didn't make any money that day, so if it was for that, I could have totally gone ahead with your tummy tuck. But the blood work results define how much tissue can be removed and how many liters of fat can be extracted as well as the maximum amount of possible bleeding your body could take. During the breast lift surgery, you bled a lot (considering the fact that your hemoglobin level was around 11.8 before that surgery), it was not possible to go ahead with the abdominoplasty. We took you for another blood test to see if it would be still possible to do the surgery, because Danny told me you traveled from far away to have both surgeries done and that we should at least try everything. The second blood test was not contemplated from the beginning and I am sorry if you had to spend another 12 USD to get it done. Your second blood test showed a higher hemoglobin level than the first one. There is no way on earth that your first blood work has 11.8 and then you bleed around 400cc and take another test and the outcome is higher than before. So something was wrong with the second test. I told you that I could go ahead and perform the abdominoplasty based on the second test results (even though it was obvious that something is wrong with it) if you agree to pay the blood transfusions that most likely might be necessary after the surgery and you told me that you are not. So, we canceled the tummy tuck surgery.
When we did the breast lift, we noticed the excess skin and fat on the sides that was still there, although we had removed the tissue of the breasts already. That's why we needed to extend the incision to the sides and do the liposuction there to give the breasts a better shape from the side view. That is called extended breast lift and it´s a common procedure. In that case, I am sorry for the lack of communication or understanding. The day you left, Danny told you to please contact her any time if you have questions. 4 weeks after surgery, you all of the sudden send us these pictures you posted and told us that you went with another surgeon to get cream. We for sure would have prescribed you an antibiotic cream or scar cream if you would have told us earlier. Even though you apparently have a doctor back home that is attending you now, we will be happy to answer your questions any time and Danny and Cris will still be at your disposal until your recovery is completed.

1) I’ll have an enormous scar on/under my breast, as the pictures show, as it was not done correctly, it is still a big wound - and I’ll have to do another surgery next year to correct that.
2) You did not tell me I would have scars all the way onto my back!
3) You knew already on the first consultation, in person, that You would never do the tummy tuch - and you did not tell me that. As you probably understood that I would wait to do both surgeries another time When I could do both. You knew and you didnt tell me! Incredible!!
4) You never told me before I travelled that I needed to have the highest amount of hemoglobin level or you wouldnt proceed with the tummy tuch - which you should have mentioned so that I could have done all the tests before travelling!
And I paid a LOT more than 12 USD for all the tests I did!!
Of course I would never risk my life to do surgery - my disappointment has nothing to do with that - it’s everything around and especially that I need to do everything all over next year to correct what you did wrong. And pay the same amount again!
So very bad!
You can defend him all you want but he did wrong.
And regarding aftercare. There was none!! Nothing at all!
I asked his assistant if I shouldnt put something on the scars - and She said No - this was while I was still in Mexico. So No instructions what so ever for aftercare or that I could or should have antibiotic cream.
When I came back to my home country they were as surprised as me When they saw these scars and also that I did not get any antibiotic cream or anything!
So I posted this review so that orders can be aware of this. I will also have enormous scar under/on my breast as he did this also wrong.
@E.E.V I am so sorry what you went through- I honestly *cannot* imagine but I would surely be horrified. I truly hope you’re doing better and I’m sorry you did not get the care that you deserved and believed you would.
