More pics!

I'll start off where my last review ended: each day is better than before. It really is.
I've been sleeping on my sides, carefully. Its so much better than sleeping on my back the whole time. Cant wait to get back to sleeping on my stomach!!
Took some pics this morning. Belly button has betadine on it. I can feel some of the stitches from the muscle repair, it grosses me out. Lol.
It looks like my scar may go above my undies but I really don't care. A scar is nothing. Im just so unbelievably happy with no saggy apron!!

No dressing change

Went to my first post op appt today. Dr Vlad was so nice and funny. He looked at my tummy and said how it looked fantastic. He made a joke about the lipo bruise on my left ribs saying that was where he used the bat. It was so funny and I tried my hardest not to laugh!! All my bruising is normal and as expected. He explained that he used the surgical glue on my tummy scar, not stitches and he used dissolvable stitches in my belly button. He took the dressing off my belly button and cleaned it out and I started crying. Not from pain but from happiness (there is pain there). I can't believe I have a belly button!!! A "normal" looking belly button. Not a sad faced droopy skin looking one. It was overwhelming. He put another dressing on it and said I can take that one off in a day or so. (I'll take a pic then).
As for the wound, Dr Vlad said he'll change that dressing at my post op appt next week. He said it was still so nice and clean which means the wound is healing well and he was happy to leave it as it is.
He helped me stretch out a little and stand up straighter. It was good to see just what I can actually do. But Im not allowed to push myself too much. It was like he read my mind. He said "So still no picking up the children, no picking things up after them, no cleaning their rooms etc". I wanted to come home and start tidying their rooms!! SO I guess that's out of the window for another week or so... Hubby was there and Dr Vlad was talking to him while saying all of this. Dr Vlad made a comment about how not all partners are as supportive and I know I've won the lottery with my husband. He is there for me, ready and waiting for my orders lol. And making me laugh which is so mean but funny at the same time.
Hubby and I are so over the moon with my results. I know we haven't seen my scar yet, but everything else so far is just awesome!! Compared to what I had, I am so happy. I just want to cry! :) I can't wait to go shopping just to try all those clothes that I've been avoiding for the past 8 years.
Every day really does get better and better.

Same here, my back is painful but a walker helps. I rented a recliner and walker for 2 weeks. So I really recommend a walker for your back when u walk around, happy healing. We r pretty much on same surgery date ;)

That we are. :) I was reading your review last night. It's nice to know that someone else is going though basically the exact thing that I am at the same time. Hope you are healing well.

Isn't great to have such a supportive hubby? Mine had been awesome too. Happy healing!

Thank you for your comments, I was very interested in hearing your journey through this op. It sounds very much like my own, comforting to hear up dates and comparing situations :-)
