30 Year Old, No Kids Looking for Full LIPO+BBL+BA in Colombia
ORIGINAL POST
Hi - I's a 30 year old female in Canada, and I...
$6,000
Hi - I's a 30 year old female in Canada, and I recently started my search for doctors for a Full LIPO (abdomen, waist, hip, flank, back, arm) +BBL+BA with implants.
It just seems like no matter how much exercise I do and how healthy I eat, I can't seem to reshape my body into the feminine form I'd like to have. have very broad shoulders and I tend to gain fat on my upper body and face. I also have small hips and a small butt. My body is an inverted triangle, so I think my body looks very masculine and imbalanced.
I feel free that I've accepted that I am going to embark this journey to an complete an Sx (am i using this abbreviation correctly, I'm still learning the lingo). I told my boyfriend about it recently and he seems slightly hesitant about the breast implants, but he's been nothing but supportive.
Just weighing the pros and cons of cost, safety, artistic tendencies of the doctors, and my love to travel - I narrowed down my search to completing my surgery in Colombia. To be honest, there's so many doctors out there, I realized there's no way you can decide on a doctor (or a set of doctor to choose from) unless you narrow down your search in some way and my method was to first choose the country. I also choose Colombia based on some experiences I read on here as well as on makemeheal. Here is one I really liked: http://messageboards.makemeheal.com/liposuction/had-vaser-lipo-colombia-today-full-trip-report-t159266.html
I am a engineer by profession, so I am trying to take a more methodical way of narrowing down my doctors. I plan to narrow down to my top choice based on 1) availability of information on doctor online and their reviews, then 2) results (looking at before and after pictures), 3) cost, then 4) customer service.
The order of the rank goes more from personal research on the web, and as we get down to results, cost, and customer service....we will get a better feel when I start asking for quotes and ask questions. I hope to report on all these things as I complete them.
So all in all...I haven't decided on a doctor yet.
Here are the doctors I have narrowed my search down to after spending several weeks on the web. Not in any particular order.
1) Rafael Gomez - pro - affiliated with university, provide vaser; great results, cost- could be expensive
2) Hugo Sacristan - pro- seems very nice, great lipo; con - not a lot of reviews, BBL not my style
3) Giovanni Cortes - pro- great results, con- not a lot of info other than IG
4) Andres Mejia - pro - lots of experience, affiliated with TV; con- not a lot of photos
5) Luis Eduardo Plazas - pro - wow great results, laser lipo used; con - some blotched, poor communication
6) Fernando Ortega - still not a lot of results (waiting to be accepted on his IG account), good reviews
7) Carlos Velascoe - just gut feel based on his IG, not a lot of info
8) Alder Henao - great reviews, good communication, some blotched
9) Dario Juris - pro - great reviews; con - there was a death (woooot?)
There are two other doctors I'm checking out just based on how much I liked their reviews and photos. They are based on Tijuana, MX.
1) Salvador Pantoja
2) Jaime Campos-Leon
Haha...I know the list is still very long...but I'm getting there. As you can tell...people hate shopping with me because I take soo long. But honestly, I am not in any hurry so I'll take my time.
The next step is to start asking for quotes.
Here are some of the questions I have for the doctors:
- How many surgeries are done in a day? What is the consultation like - like when do you talk to the doctor about what you're looking for....is it only right before the surgery??
- I am also really interested in learning which liposuction technique is used by each of the doctors. - I'm interested in the vaser liposuction only because I feel like a lot of my fat is somewhat fibrotic. What's everyone's take on the different lipo techniques?? (I know all the doctor answers are like - its more about the doctor than the technique)
-Do all the doctors consult you about which type of implants you will have and whether it should be subglandular or subpectoral?
It would be great if any one has answers to any of these questions for the doctors listed. I'll try to keep updating if I get more information!!

There’s definitely days where I’m like omg what the heck am I thinking?!?! And come up with these random questions everyday. But lily the patient coordinator for dr gomez is so on top of things and super duper friendly. I think she’s the role model for all patient coordinators. Very empathetic and always has time for you! I really appreciate her.
