Is a Travel Buddy Necessary when Having Surgery out the Country or is It a Waste of Money?

Okay guys... so I've paid sent my deposit to Dr. Plazas office and I've received my surgery voucher! They've sent me my letter from immigration which is a new requirement. They have to now send your passport number to immigration for you to present to the airport upon arrival. This is to prevent black market surgeries, as only surgery with board certified doctors are approved. Anyway.. I'm having full body lipo, bbl, and breast lift done by dr.Plazas. My date is scheduled for 10/20/2017! I've decided to stay at Imi recovery house and I feel confident I've made the right choice! I still have a ways to go before my surgery date arrives but I'm excited! Booking with Dr. Plazas has been a breeze and the same with Imi RH. Their home looks nice and she's been super sweet to me! I'll keep you guys updated as time passes and feel free to forward any questions my way!

Has Anyone Had a Bbl of Breast Lift with Dr. Luis Plazas? What RH Do You Recommend?
Can someone weigh in on their experience in Cali Co with Dr. Plazas? What are good RH in Cali Co near Plaza's? I'm considering "Imis recovery home" and "Milenio recovery home" can anyone share their experience with either of these places? I've heard bad things about albas and sophistique. Dr Plazas does recommend Palace Rh but im not too fond of their pics online so they will remain my last option, only because the Dr recommended them.

I'm staying at Palace Recovery just because he suggested it. My cousin had a tummy tuck done and full laser Lipo w/bbl. She looks amazing. She went alone for 7 days. You'll be fine. I'm going alone as well.

Palace is owned by his mom so of course they recommend it. I know two dolls that stayed at palace and they both had bad experiences. I don't know why Alba's is getting a bad reputation as I stayed with them for 12 days and I would stay there again. I speak spanish so maybe that is why i was fine. The food is great, i shared with another Plazaa girl room 7 and we had a really good experience. This is a normal recovery house not some crazy mansion with a pool. It is affordable and they go beyond for their patients. I went to Plazas last summer and had a BL with implants, TT, and he did lipo but couldn't do the BBL. You should stay 12 to 14 days and double up on your massages. He offers one per day but just pay his girl to come back in the evening for a second one. It is worth getting all the fluids out, especially if you're looking to stay less time. Whatever you don't like...have him fix it before you leave. I trusted him blindly and I now regret it. Btw, i went alone.
why do u regret trusting him.. what did he do or not do please I am seriously about to book with him and I need details
Because he doesn't guarantee his work at all and doesn't deliver good results for Mommy makeovers. He's only good for BBL. My breast lift was horribly done and he left dog ears on my TT. Everything he did on me has to be re done. I simply feel he is was all hype. I have seen better work from other surgeons.

I am currently torn between paying for a friend to...
I am currently torn between paying for a friend to travel with me, which adds an additional $1800 onto my total bill for my BBL. Has anyone ever traveled to and from out of the country alone for their surgery? How was your experience? Was it safe? I don't mean to sound ignorant but my biggest fear is someone snatching my passport and turning me into a sex trafficker or the doc swapping out all of my organs lol. No but seriously, I'm concerned about recovering alone and I just want to make it back home safely to my baby. I was told that I have to arrive 2 days before my surgery and stay a minimum of 10 days post op for recovery? Has anyone left sooner if so how was your recovery? If so what are the pros and cons? I'm concerned not that I will have trouble because I've had surgery twice before. However, this will be my first time having surgery out of the country and I want to know more about the our of country recovery. What are the risks involved and how likely are they? Lastly, is having someone to travel with you truly worth the bill?

DISCLAIMER: This is just my opinion : It's nice having a travel buddy but definitely not necessary , I personally would not pay the additional cost . Are you staying at a recovery house ? If so that's the purpose of a RH , they are there to take care of you and companionship , im sure you will meet other girls having surgery as well. Of course it's not the same as having a loved one or friend, but you won't be alone. I've traveled to Cali alone before and I felt very safe . It's just about being smart and aware of your surroundings . I will be going again in July alone ! And o feel good about it , I'm planning ahead and being smart . If you plan ahead and are street smart I think you'll be fine . Make sure you take the proper steps to recover while you are there. If your Dr. is telling you 10 days you should obey that! Even if you've had sx before in your home country and you know how your body heals you should still obey what your Dr is advising . Many girls have sx and think it's okay to take a 12 hour plane back home after 7 days ... so I highly suggest you obey your doctors wishes ! Better safe than sorry .

Yea I think when the say travel buddy is someone who is also going to the same place or rh doctor yall keep in contact you dont spend money on nobody but yourselves
I went to Colombia for bbl and lipo alone for the first time. Nothing to worry about as long as your organized and have a recovery house who will pick u up at the airport. Airport is small nothing to be worried. Usually recovery house will help you with everything you need help with.. I went on March 31st but didn’t get surgery till April 4th and left on April 15th. Mind u I was still in pain but delt
With it until I got back to NY. Most important is to continue massages to drain fluid or you will end up with fibrosis. I have friends who are physicans that help drain fluid with syringe ( I had a LOT of fluid even after I was back in NY had to use 18gauge needle

You will need the extra money for things like fajas, lymphatic massages, oxygen chamber and any additional charges for transportation expense at recovery house. Usually recovery houses have people who speak English due to the amount of foreigners
