Let me start by saying that I am a male patient, and with being a male patient comes finding a doctor with minimal Before and After photos to browse on the internet. Although Dr. Plazas' had a few male examples, I definitely had to take a chance with any surgeon. I am so glad I chose this Plazas and here's why. From the initial booking I knew I was in good hands. As I work for a plastic surgeon here in Canada, I know that the time of responses and level of detail play a huge role in having a smooth experience. The last thing you want to be doing is struggling to get a response on your question post-surgery. This is why the team at Palace is probably the best recovery house you can choose in the city. I received 24/7 medical care from every staff member on board, and felt completely cared for. They waited on me hand and feet, fed me amazing meals every day and kept the place in absolutely immaculate shape. The recovery house is incredibly clean and the staff there do everything possible to make sure you have a great time. I was laughing all day long with the nurses there, they are seriously so sweet and funny. I was woken up at 6AM for anti-coagulant shots, antibiotics, and to have all of my levels checked. Dr Plazas visits the recovery house almost every night of the year. The level of care here is unmatched to anything you would find in North America.

In terms of my actual surgery, I can't say enough good things. You can see from my Before and After that Dr. Plazas' gave me EXACTLY what I was looking for. I attached my wish pic and then my actual before and after to show you guys how great of a job he did. My results look amazing, and have ZERO dimples or unevenness. You have to realize with any surgery there is always going to be some degree of natural asymmetry. Nobodies tissue and body is exactly the same on either side, and sometimes this can be revealed during surgery. It's important to look at the overall picture, how well he contours your entire body, and judge based on that. Do not try to over evaluate every little fat pocket on your body, because there is no surgeon on the planet who can get something 100% perfect. Most surgeons on Instagram photoshop their results to some degree, but Dr Plazas does not. He posts only what he actually achieves, keep this in mind when choosing a surgeon.

For example, one girl was on her 3rd round of BBL. He told her he wasn't going to make her butt much larger, but rather correct the uneven lipo and add fat to areas of the butt to perfect the entire shape. He knows that a giant butt that doesn't match the legs looks ridiculous, and he gives you the biggest possible butt he can for your particular frame. You might think you want the unnatural look now, but I promise you will come to regret this down the line.

In the end, my recovery was outstanding. I felt next to no pain even post-surgery on the first night. I even skipped sleeping in the hospital, opting for walking myself through the recovery house back to my bed. When I say I felt almost no pain post-procedure, I'm definitely being accurate.

I also wanna touch on swelling, as some people do not realize that afrter the procedure it is normal to be so swollen you almost look worse than before the surgery. Wear your Faja religiously, and don't even try to judge until 3-6 months. You will be a whole new person at 6 months, I promise. Around 12 months the final results will be visible. This is normal with any surgical procedure. Definitely get 2 massages a day, it's worth it. I also highly recommend getting your own room.

I had my first round Brazilian butt lift in Miami and while I was satisfied with my results I always knew I would need a second round to get the hips and the shape I really wanted. To be honest I didn’t want to leave and I miss them dearly! So thank you so much Dr. Plazas I knew I had a good feeling about you and I’m so grateful I chose you!!!

I am writing this review because I have to share the amazing experience that I had. I had my first BBL in April 2018 in Miami. My results were good and I was happy but I knew after a few months I wanted to be curvier and debated having a second round for the next four years. I kept changing my mind and not doing it because I was so scared I was going to ruin the good results I already had. I found Dr. Plazas on Instagram about 2 1/2 years ago. I fell in love with his work. I’ve had consult with other doctors and have done extensive research but kept coming back to him. Well finally I did it! And I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The process was very easy. My coordinator was Camilo and that was my only negative part of this experience. Honestly I didn’t feel like he was very helpful and he would take forever getting back to me if he even would get back to me. 

One of my surgery sisters online recommended Lara So I reached out to her for help. Even though she wasn’t my coordinator she went above and beyond to help me. Honestly I can’t say enough good things about her so if you are looking into this doctor please contact her. The other thing I want to talk about is the recovery house. My first surgery in Miami I had such a horrible experience at my recovery house that when I got home I actually alerted the state and they got shut down. This experience at Palace recovery house was out of this world! Every single member of this staff was amazing. These nurses treat you with such care and compassion and it’s so obvious how much they actually like their job. The cooks prepare you three amazing meals a day. The home is beautiful and clean and they take care of everything for you. From your massages, to transportation, to making sure you take all your meds. You are literally treated like a queen here. I got to be honest I didn’t even want to go. I came home two days ago and I miss them terribly already. 

As far as Dr. Plazas he literally gave me exactly what I wanted! I basically wanted my whole upper body smaller and my hips rounded out. I didn’t get anything transferred to my butt because we both agreed that that was a good size. My fear going into surgery for a second round is getting Lipo burn or fibrosis or uneven Lipo or not looking natural anymore. Let me tell you this man did an amazing job! I honestly had my expectations blown away. 

I am only 12 days out and the picture I’m going to post was me at six days. I already look amazing and would be happy if this was my final result and it’s just gonna keep getting better. I am so happy and grateful I waited And I chose him. Before surgery he took his time and listen to me and marked up my body and after surgery he came to see me two times in the recovery house. He is in constant contact with that recovery house and make sure everything is going smoothly. So I just want to say thank you so much Dr. Plazas, Palace Recovery house, and Lara For making this one of the best experiences of my life!

This doctor does not allow you to stay in any other recovery house except his. This says so much about a surgeon because aftercare is so important, and his recovery house “PALACE” is exactly that. A huge mansion full of 24 hour on the clock nurses, Chefs, cleaners, drivers, everything you could need. It was paradise recovering at Dr.Plazas recovery house.
I saw Dr.Plazas the day of my surgery and then he came to check on me like 5 times after my operation. I stayed in his recovery house for 3 weeks. I swelled up a bit on my flight home but make sure you have a faja and compression socks on, and book a lymphatic drainage massage when you arrive home.
My results are beautiful. He took out my love handles and arms and gave me a big butt. I’m 1 month post op I’m still swollen and healing. I can’t wait to show my body when I’m healed
On the day of surgery bring your boppy pillow or BBL pillow with you so you can sit on it during the ride home with your new butt. Buy a URINAL and bring it with you if you’re a female so you don’t have to sit to pee. If you have the money, do 2 massages a day at the recovery house, not only one. Massages in Colombia are way cheaper than in Canada so I did 2 a day down there. Plus it’s important for drainage. If you only do one a day you’ll have more fluid build up. Make sure you take your vitamins for at least 2 weeks before surgery. Take them for 1 month if you can. Vitamin C, iron, blood builder, will help you a lot so your levels aren’t low for your lab and you will have to pay for iron infusion. Not a big deal about the money but it’s better to build your iron up gradually than to just take iron one day before your surgery. Girls who don’t take their vitamins most likely need a blood transfusion after surgery also. I didn’t need one because my levels were good. It’s okay if you need one it’s no big deal but vitamins will help you to avoid it.
This doctor is very educated, professional, talented and his team in the recovery house are some of the best people I have ever met. Each person that works for him has so much patience, and is so kind and caring about your recovery. If you have the time and money try to stay 3 weeks because the flight home will be easier. Going home after only 2 weeks is tough as you will get more swelling and pain the earlier in your recovery.
The surgery comes with a faja, but if you have the money, try to go out to CONTOUR FAJAS (find them on Instagram) and have yourself measured for a custom faja by them. They have the best fajas

i am 2 weeks post op, i had lipo bbl with dr plazas and i could not be happier with my decision that i chose him. my results are phenomenal - exactly what i wanted, and his professionalism and consideration was superb. palace recovery house was also a great experience 10/10 highly recommend dr plazas. he literally gives you whatever you ask for, he’s extremely safe, and it’s all in all a great experience for what it is.

Hey I’m new on here and was considering Dr Plaza for my round 2. He does great jobs from what I have seen and I haven’t ran into any bad reviews. Can anyone tell me how much he charges and the process

Hey dolls, so I'm scheduled for surgery with Dr. Plazas. I'm pretty much just getting my body ready for the procedure now, I've paid my deposit for both the surgery and recovery house. I'm getting a TT, BBL, and Lipo done. This covid thing is so annoying but I'm keeping the faith and trusting God always! Colombia opened back up which is a plus, I'm lowkey nervous but won't seem real until I arrive there. I hope to get a good projection of my butt and lots of hips lol. I know my doctor will deliver he's great.

I have booked my surgery for Dr Plaza for February 2021 my SX date is February 8th and I am still waiting for my surgery voucher and I'm very excited I bought my flight already and also booked the recovery home. I’m 8 months post op from have full 360 liposuction, bbl and tummy tuck. The massage therapist is the sweetest person (we’re still in contact), the nurses are nice as well. Dr. Plazas is professional and not as available as you would like, you’ll see him at surgery and for me one time after surgery.
The recovery house was very nice and fully staffed. The girls were catty like bad girls club and healing was painful. I now have a bulge at the top of my stomach that won’t go away. Help!!
