Losing That "Jaded" Look

WORTH IT
Skinpossible Review - Ultherapy

I have always considered myself fairly “low maintenance”. I work long days: minimal makeup, short nails, and blow-and-go hair work just fine for me. I want to look real. But I want to look put together, and I want to look ready to tackle what comes at me.

The look I do not want: tired and grumpy. But that’s the look that, at 58, I saw in the mirror. My years on the planet were showing in sagging jowls and new lines. Not to mention that my eyebrows, once evenly poised, had developed an interesting relationship: one was permanently higher than the other by quite a bit, making me look like I was always holding back a cynical retort. (Admittedly, that is true much of the time, but still ….) That was what finally did it. I made an appointment with Skinpossible.

Everyone I dealt with at Skinpossible was kind, professional, and very helpful. I spoke to individual practitioners to get information on procedures I was considering, and Linda met with me to go over my options and answer any questions. After thinking it over and doing some research, I chose to get Ultherapy (ultrasound therapy) on my face and neck. They warned me there might be a bit of pain, and they didn’t lie. There was some pain, but most of it was just discomfort, with one or two stronger pulses. Still, I was prepared for that, and it went smoothly. Jordan gave special attention to tightening up the skin above my drooping eyebrow; she was careful not to overdo it, but was hopeful my skeptical look would fade soon. I got the ultherapy on a Friday afternoon. There was redness for a couple of days, and some tenderness around my jaw for a week or so, but it settled down quickly and there was no problem going to work Monday morning.

The ladies at Skinpossible told me I would see results in a couple of months, but within a couple of weeks people started commenting that I looked “really healthy,” “refreshed”, and even “radiant”. A couple of weeks after that, my husband told me my chin area looked firmer. By the time two months rolled around, I noticed the fine lines on my forehead were minimized, and my jowls had pulled up a bit. Plus my eye area and - oh joy! - that droopy eyebrow had perked up considerably.

I didn’t realize the extent of the changes until I saw the before and after photos at Skinpossible. I definitely want to get this done again (it lasts a year and half to two years, I think). Although it was a real stretch on my budget, it was worth it! Thanks to the staff at Skinpossible for their skill and great service.

Would you mind posting photos of your before /after on your chin and jaw area? Forehead looks amazing! I
Sorry, but I don't have those! It's not as dramatic as the upper face, though, possibly because I lost some weight after the treatment. So it's a bit better in the jowl area, but I definitely still have loose skin under my chin.
