Great results already!

So, I'm almost 6 weeks post calf augmentation and am so happy! The pictures aren't very good quality (sorry) but the results speak for themselves. I've got back in the gym this week without any issues and can really feel it when working the calf muscles- in a good way though.
The operation scars are nice and flat because I've been massaging them religiously every day since week 3 (to start with it was quite painful to do but gets easier the longer you do it) and the scars are not as angry looking as I imagined they'd be so early in recovery. Covered with heavy duty concealer (like the ones that hide tattoos) they're hardly noticeable already.
Because of the calf definition my thighs look even slimmer which is a bonus!!
I'm walking with ease and able to do everything I could before the op. Oh, apart from kneeling fully on my legs as that still feels a bit odd. Towards the end of the day my ankles are a bit swollen but that should go (hopefully) and it doesn't bother me that much anyway.
As you can see from the before and after pictures there's a massive difference in my calf shape. I'm killing the skirt and kitten heel look and am wearing tight fitting pants for the first time ever!!
If you're worried about the recovery from this operation I have to tell you the truth- it's not nearly as tough as you think it might be.
My calves are not completely "rounded" but that's because the implants mould to the shape of your pre-existing calves and mine were odd shaped to say the least!
I'm liberated. No chicken calves here anymore!
I will keep updating..

Soooo very happy

So, I'm almost 4 weeks post op and I am SO happy! I've started massaging the scars to soften and flatten them and, apart from the fact they're still new, they're already looking great!
I'm walking normally now and am able to stride out rather than taking smaller steps!

Today I went for a yomp with my dog. I was a bit nervous as this is my first proper exercise ( it was only walking but after being careful since my surgery it was a relief to get out and test my new calves too). For the first 10 minutes I felt it in my calves- almost like a rubber band was in tension from calf to knee- but suddenly I felt 'freed' ! I can't explain it but it was as though my calves were grateful for the exercise! Since then they've felt amazing!!
The best part of the walk was that, occasionally, as I strode out ( I tend put one foot directly in front of the other) my calves brushed together!! Yey- I have calves now!!

I've been in skinny jeans and wearing jewellery on my ankle and cannot recommend this surgery enough.

The calves now have sensation back (they did feel a bit numb to start with but I wasn't precious about this as, hey, it's not my hands/feet/ face etc) and I would say I have 90% feeling back already.
I can't wait to get into the gym as my entire body tone has turned to mush with the immobility but I'm still anxious about these beautiful calves so will probably give it the full 6 weeks before I begin training again.

I will post some pictures as soon as I get time.
I know that surgery can't change your life but this surgery has certainly opened my horizons- dresses, skinny jeans, shorts and- OH MY GOODNESS- STILETTO's!!!
I stopped wearing heels as they made my legs look like two sticks but these calves aren't going anywhere and will look so great in heels.

I had calf implant surgery almost 3 weeks ago and...

I had calf implant surgery almost 3 weeks ago and am sooo happy! The surgery recovery was not too painful- even in hospital I only needed basic pain relief. I was advised to wear flat shoes and was able to walk out of hospital. For the first week I rested up as much as possible- walking was kept to a minimum and I elevated my legs. I removed the tapes after 1 week and was pleased with the results. I now have shapely calves and, even this early, I am wearing shorts to show off my lovely legs (the shorts are just below the incision line so hide these) and skinny jeans!!
The left calf feels normal now but the right calf still pulls a little from knee to ankle when I walk but nothing that is too painful. Actually, all in all I was surprised just how little pain there has been!
Driving has been an issue and I think this is why the right leg is still a little achey as I drove a week post surgery and think this was too soon in hindsight.

The calf area feels a little numb to touch but that's nothing that concerns me. The implants themselves- I can't tell the difference in touch at all so nobody will know I have had this surgery done. They feel lovely and natural to touch! They look shapely already and I wish I had done this sooner!!

If you are considering this surgery then you will only need 1 week recovery and then can get back to work. I can't wait until I can start exercising though!
