Soooo apparently all my recent problems have all been related to extremely weak abdominal muscles. I had no idea how weak I really was until I started to exercise. I'm slowly getting stronger and feeling better! Baby steps. My PS said my muscles are equivalent to a 60 year old women! I have a long way to go but I do have determination :)

PS Visit
busymomX3September 12, 2013
I met with my PS today and he says I do not have muscle repair failure. He believes my side stomach muscles need strenthening so he advised me to do some exercises daily, eat clean, and take probiotics. I will follow up with him in a few weeks. He also said I definitely don't have a seroma either. He seemed a little baffled by my situation too. He said he will help me with everything he can and I of course have to do my part as well. I tried to keep my composure during my visit but of course I couldn't hold it together and cried quite a bit. He was very patient with me and understanding.
Thanks again ladies for all the support :)

Glad you saw your ps and its nothing too serious. Hope the tips help you out. What kind of exercises does he want you to do?

He wants me to suck my stomach in as far as I can and hold for 15 sec repeating 20x, throughout the day. Like all day long. This will tights all the side muscle and the pubic area. He also would like me to join a fitness class such as palates to strengthen my core.

Here is what my belly looks like at night. It's somewhat better in the mornings but not much. I've been doing some research on here and I have found several similar cases of women many doctor's say it's probably muscle repair failure :) UGH!!! :(

can you control your muscles enough yet enough to see if you can suck your stomach in? I keep wondering if we will be able to control our muscles again

I have the same thing. It is an easy thing to diagnose and you can check it yourself. Lie flat on the ground. Raise your head a few inches, and tighten your abs. Then feel with your fingers on the rectus muscle to see if you can feel a separation.

Can you describe how your stomach feels day to day. Do you feel pressure and uncomfortable after eating? Does your stomach bloat? I'm just really curious if we have the same symptoms. Thx!

Hi! When I wake up it is pretty flat, but not totally flat. After I have been up about a half hour, I start to get a pooch. After eating, the pooch gets larger and stays that way until the next morning. It seems like bloat, but it's really the muscle coming thru the fascia. The way my new PS described it is that I am flat in the morning because the muscle isn't tired. As soon as it starts being used in any way, it gets tired. Just from being upright, eating, exercising etc. I thought it was bloating too, because I was flat upon awakening, but that's not the case. Can you feel a separation, or do you feel that your entire muscle is plicated. Mine is really easy to feel. I am separated a little below and above my BB.

Did your PS examine you for muscle repair failure?
September 11, 2013
I just came back from his office and he reassured me I do NOT have muscle repair failure. He had me flex my stomach and from top to bottom it's rock hard. He said if I had a failure my stomach would protrude out. He strongly thinks my side muscle need some serious strengthening so he has asked me to do some exercises, eat clean, and a take probiotic supplement and come back in a few weeks for a check up. I thoroughly explained my concerns about my bladder and he seemed concerned as well but said it is not related to my tt.
