WORTH IT
I wanted to share my 5 star experience at Ranch & Coast Plastic Surgery.
I must start out by saying I'm a beyond thankful to have found Dr. Chasan as he is truly a miracle worker when it came to my case. Pictures to come in a future update…
Back in 2014, I underwent a BBL at a different provider in Beverly Hills. Unfortunately, I suffered horrible complications due to an infection that wasn't treated promptly. I had to have four procedures just to remove all the infectious tissue that had burrowed down the left side of my hip and bum. I was left was irregularities all through out my left butt cheek. I'm on the thinner side so there wasn't much fat to harvest and graft when they attempted to reconstruct after the infection has fully healed from the inside out. I had no interest in buttock implants either as the complication rate is high and after going through what I did it was not even an option that I would consider.
So, between a few fat transfers and cadaver fat I was left with the "best they could do."
Unfortunately, over time my skin was unable to properly hold up and reinforce the fat transfers/cadaver fat. Next thing I know my butt cheek was drooping into the back of my leg. It also became flat and square. I thought my gosh this is unsightly, disappointing and certainly made me self conscious to be in a swim suit on vacation.
I was determined to find a solution and did a ton of research on what procedures would be a suitable solution. I did not want to go the route of the old school butt lift where they cut across the lower back and leaves a large unsightly scar.
I also wanted to make sure I found a provider who would check all my boxes including experience, safety, precision and artistry .
Finally, I found Dr Chasan, right here on RealSelf and he checked all my boxes for possibly being able to do this revision.
Not only were his credentials outstanding, but his innovative approach to lifting and sculpting the buttocks with small and hidden incisions was beyond impressive while looking through the before and after photos of his Del Mar Thong Lift.
I picked up the phone immediately to schedule a consultation.
Upon arriving for my consultation, I was greeted kindly by the front office staff. The clinic is absolutely fantastic! Cozy, comfortable welcoming and most importantly clean.
I was seen right on time and Dr Chasan went through the process of the procedure and said I was in fact a good candidate for the procedure.
I was elated and went straight away to meet with Jennifer, the patient coordinator to schedule my procedure. She was extremely helpful, friendly and always was available via email to answer any further questions I may have had.
I counted the months and days down to the procedure date. Finally, my surgical date arrived February 20th and I was more than ready. Upon check in, I was greatly impressed with the pac u nurse making me feel comfortable and at ease to go into surgery. Not only is Dr Chasan's surgical center a fantastic facility but his entire surgical team was first class. Before, I knew it I was waking up comfortably and headed to recover before returning the next morning for my first post op.
When I went in for the appointment the next day, I was beyond grateful and thrilled with what I was already seeing. I went from drooping SpongeBob square butt to perky, lifted Pilates butt. A perfect heart shape. My recovery has been free of complications and it was great peace of mind knowing I could always check in with the clinic if I had any further questions or concerns. I'm definitely looking forward to summer season now and can't wait to get back into my bathing suits,
A big thank you to Dr Chasan and his incredible caring staff for restoring my confidence again.

6 weeks post update
Fab0829April 2, 2024
Just wanted to upload some photos…before side view of my bum flat and not perky.
Now here I am 6 weeks post with my expectations exceeded as I no longer am displeased with my backside after all I had been through.
I have been putting the bicornium
Scar cream on twice a day and keeping silicone sheets on the incisions to promote optimal healing. The incisions already are looking fantastic as well for only being a few weeks post.

MY I ask how much did it cost? And how long was the consult and approval to surgery? And how long till you were healed? And pain level?

I was approved as a candidate for the procedure after my full in person consultation. Then if there’s just any medical clearances you need that can be discussed separately Since that can sometimes affect whether you’re cleared for surgery or not. But I was medically cleared and again , he said I was a candidate for this after he did a person exam at my consultation.
I had two drains in for six days. They were then removed. on postop day seven. I would say having the drains and were the most uncomfortable just cause I had to make sure to sleep on my stomach or use a special pillow between my legs to keep me sides, sleeping and not rolling onto the drains. Once they were pulled was much more comfortable sitting down. I did get a Tempur-pedic pad to put in the car since the first three weeks the area was tender and sensitive to sit down in certain places.
And then I just had to pause doing any yoga and Pilates until 3 to 4 weeks out. Other than that, I’ve just done scar management by applying silicone scar gel twice daily massaging it into the incision site and wearing silicone strips over them to also improve healing and keeping the incision sites nice and flat. Healing amazingly and I am now back to all exercise, regular activities, etc. so hopefully that helps clarify a bit of the process for you.

Additional Before & After photos

Just wanted to add some additional before and after photos that were taking at the clinic.
Thesr show up much better idea of how this procedure turned out. As you can see, I’m over the moon with my results and my healing has been incredible! No complications and it only gets better and better. I also continue to, do Pilates and make sure I do a lot of under gluteal exercises to keep things nice, tight and perky. But this would never have been possible without Dr Chasan’s magic touch with the thong lift.

Really fantastic ! Managing incisions post surgery is just another party of the journey. I’m very adamant about following all the steps in the process which yes takes patience but is worth it as the final result ends up looking excellent.

No problem:) I actually just put my deposit down for a reductive augmentation with Dr Chasan.
After this successful procedure I know I’m in excellent hands as I need a reduction, implant exchange and revision lift.
A other trifecta he specializes in. That won’t be until next year tho.

so when I go for my next postop in June, I will get his expert opinion on if it’s necessary for me to continue with the cream and the tapes anywhere past four months. Then it’s just a matter of the slight redness, which is very normal since I’m just coming up upon four months post to subside. As far as bathing suit where since they’re not fully faded if I were to not wear a cover-up or so wrong, they would be somewhat visible, but I also want no sun exposure to that area as well. For example, on memorial day yesterday at the pool, I wore a bikini, but I just wore a little Cover up that tide on the side on the bottom so I still looked cute at the pool, but I wasn’t getting any sun on that area is very important to the healing process. I’m used to all kinds of different surgical. I’ve had many procedure so you have to know that there’s time they do slightly funky, but that all subsides diligent and compliant with treatment. Hope that helps clarify for you.
