My Personal experience

Dr Dupere is one of the worst doctors I ever encountered. He is greedy, does not care about his patients wellbeing at all. I have been holding off on leaving a review for 2 years now because I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but this doctor needs to be reported.
To start off once i did my surgery the following day and i had a complication and was panicking because I didn’t know what to do. So I called “emergency personal number” that he provided me with and told me I can reach him anytime with any concerns I had… I called him and him and he wasn’t picking up. I contacted his office they told me he was away on vacation and he won't be able to help me this was literally 1 Day after my surgery. Every follow up i was seen by his nurse jay which was very rude and unprofessional to the point I requested not to be seen by this nurse. When I asked if I could see Dr. Dupere they told me that he was busy. Throughout my post op care i only saw him TWICE and he was very dismissive when i asked him any questions. When I told him how his nurse Jay treated me he told me that’s impossible and he worked with him for many years and no one complained about him and I was lying.
Fast Forward to now. It’s been 2 years since I had my surgery with him. I contacted his office and told them that I'm having pain in my buttock area where I got the procedure done. They were very dismissive, and told me why I didn't just contact my family doctor about it. They ended up giving me a requisition for an MRI, once I did the MRI no one contacted me with the results , so I reached out to them to let them know I received the results and if I can book an appointment to see Dr. Dupere to discuss my results and options I have to treat this pain I’m having. Reception told me that he won’t see me and it’s already been two years since my procedure so he’s not obligated to see me for a follow up. I asked if someone can at least explain to me the results and the receptionist told me that it was already reviewed and there was no concern when I insisted that I would like someone to explain to me my MRI result because it does say on the report there is concern and to have a further clinical follow to see what’s going on. The receptionist told me that a nurse will contact me and explain it to me then. The nurse called me after 5 days and he told me I have to see another surgeon for this and Dr.Dupere can not help with this. That’s when I knew this clinic does not care about me or my well-being. I requested for patient chart from his office to show another plastic surgeon and they told me I have to pay $300 to see MY RECORDS.
Don’t be fooled by his fancy clinic and the fake treatment that him and his staff will display to get you through the door. Once they get the money their true Colors come out. Dr Dupere AND his staff do not take care of clients and have no regard to people. customer service, communication, and client care all zero. Please stay away from this doctor and his staff and save yourself the heartache and trauma that I experienced. there're plenty of great plastic surgeons in Toronto that will take care of their patients and are not money hungry.
Dr. Dupere should not be in business; he does not take No accountability once a mistake is made. I spent 15k for this procedure and now I have to spend thousands more to figure out what the problem is and try to fix it by another plastic surgeon not to mention the emotional and physical trauma this has caused me. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR.
