Last day today in Medellin. Our flight…

WORTH IT$4,000
Last day today in Medellin. Our flight leaves tonight. I am nervous as our flight from Bogota to Houston is 5 hrs. I still hurts quite a bit to be in a seated position even with all my weight on the back of my legs. I will take a little extra pain killer and stand up as much as possible.
Here are some picts from today.

Hi! How are you doing? I saw your before pic and I am wondering how long did you had the previous implants and what happened to your implants? You had a very natural size ... However. Revision turned out nice! I am like you I am at the gym 5-6days a week. So, I worry if I can't workout any more if I get the surgery . I am thinking of going to see him too . How was the flight ? Sorry for so many questions...
Hello, I had the previous implants about 3 years. The issue was that when i would bend over they where so apparent and it was obvious i had implants. The previous doctor said that they were sub muscular but I was not sure. I found out from Dr. Mejia after the revision surgery what the problem was. The old implants were sub muscular but they were not deep at all and the pocket that the old doctor made was too large for the size of the implant and it caused implant to move around a little bit. Dr. Mejia placed the new implants much deeper and now you cannot even tell that I have them.
I had no problems working out at all with my old implants. I am now 7 week post op. I have been having some issues with my sciatic nerve. I have been doing a lot of stretching and it is slowly getting better. I have been back in the gym but I am waiting until eight weeks before I start any lower body workouts.
My flight was not bad at all. I saw on this site a lot of people invest in the specialized pillows for sitting on while flying or driving. My husband made a nice solution for me out of foam. I think it ended up costing about $20. I used it for the flight, it help me out greatly while driving and I also used it on my Office chair at work. I stop using it after four weeks. I am sitting down fine now with no problems.
Thank you for sharing!
Yes! I heard that SubFacial is easy recovery and less pain because it's not within muscles. But risk is that cause sagging and migration of implants. Under the muscles is supposed to be permanent but risk is it can be conflict with sciatic nerves . Which is you already have some. Hopefully it will go away soon . Sounds like you are fit and take good care of yourself . I am sure it will get better soon . You are still healing. Inside and I am sure still swelling.
Glad to hear flight wasn't too bad . I will be traveling from Austin.,not far from you .
Looking forward to seeing more pictures!
Hi , sorry about all those questions. I did find the answer! (I should read before I ask you) . But still wondering how you are doing? Did you workout ok when you had the old implants?
Are your new implants still visible when bending? And are they solid silicone or cohesive gel? Im looking into having mine revised by Dr. Mejia thanks for any input
He only does cohesive and intramuscular.
Hello! I am also curious how you are doing and liking your new cohesives. I have the same issue as you had with visibility plus hard fake feel. (Plus excess skin. From bad lipo years ago) tissue support is an issue so i would also like to know if you feel any flattening etc. I know a few have reported this. I exercise regularly (squats and more) but also have to sit a lot for work, so it is a difficult to decide what to do next to fix this mess. Thank you! You look great so far! Hope you love your new butt!
Hi ! I’m looking it getting a revision as well on my butt implants. Or them done in 11/2016 and they look awful. Please let me know how your overall experience went and did he meet your expectations.

I had the drains and morphine pump removed…

I had the drains and morphine pump removed yesterday( 3 days post). It feels so good to have that stuff off. The pocket from my old implant on one side filled with fluid, but the dr was able to remove all fluid and said all is good.
I forgot to mention I am 5', 125 lbs. My old implants were 280cc

It looks so nice an natural, from all the stories i hear it sounds scary but you are up and walking and sitting, i will also go to Mejia but will be doing it alone. Do you think if you were alone you would hire a nurse? are you very active? excersice etc?(before surgery) did you prepare im any particular way for the operation? skin treatments, meds vitamins etc. How long will u stay in medellin? Sorry for all the questions! :) thanks!
Hello, Thanks for the compliment. I was up and walking the night of the surgery. Sitting has not happened yet. I get funny looks as i eat my meals in restaurants standing up. I do recommend staying somplace that can bring you meals or you can walk to. Walking is much easier than getting in and out of a taxi.
I dont know if a "nurse" is needed or not. I do recommend someone to help you. I couldnt get in and out of bed the first 2 days without help. Pulling up the compression shorts alone is very difficult. I know many ladies doing this alone stay a a tranquility house. I have heard good and bad. We met a lady at Dr Mejia office that had a nurse with her, but the nurse didnt speak english.
We are staying at the Dann Carlton hotel. Only 5 min walk to Dr office. Most staff speak english. You can order room service if you need. This place is a little pricey, but it is very convienent.
If you dont speak spanish I would try to find someone bilingual to assist you. Although Dr Mejia speaks perfect english, you will need to communicate with many others who do not.
I think the key to my quick recovery is that I am very active at the gym, 5 times per week. Alot of cardio, leg and butt work. I did nothing else to prepare.
I arrived the 13, had the surgery the 14, and depart night of the 23.
Hope this helps
Congrats you look great! I'm going soon too ! What other hotels did u see that we're near by
We are at the Dann Carlton hotel. I think it is the closest to the Dr. My 2nd choice when I was looking is the San Fernando plaza hotel. I also saw a Holiday Inn express not too far while walking. There are several in this area, i just dont remember all the names.
Did he still have 560cc
I'm not sure. 560cc was not even an option for me. 500cc was the highest he recommended during our consultation for my body size
Did u ask what was the largest implants & do he have ovals & rounds??
What size do u have now
I have 380cc round. We did not have discussions about anything above 500 so I don't really know
Ok
How much did it cost?

Implant revision Dr Mejia

So far it has been pretty easy. Reading most other stories had me worried.
I traveled to Medellin, Colombia on a night flight from the US. I arrived Monday morning and had my initial consultation appointment at 3:00.
Dr Mejia is great. He looked me over and answererd all my questions. He wasnt sure at this point if my original implant was under the muscle or not, but did agree it looked terrible.
He gave me the option of 390cc or 500cc. I discussed with my husband that night. We decided that if using 500 was looking like it would fit ok into a new created pocket without any issues closing up the pocket and potential incision problems, then go ahead with the 500cc. If he saw any signs of 500 being too big as to create any problems at all, then go with the 390cc.
I ended up with 390cc placed in a new pocket, much deeper into the muscle. I had 280cc from the previous work 3 years ago, that was removed. It turned out that it was within the muscle, only it wasnt deep at all and the pocket that was created was far too big for the size of implant i had and it allowed the implant to move around.
My surgery was scheduled at 9:00 am. I had arrived an hour early to get prepped. It took about 2 hours and I was in recovery for anothr 2 hours.
Getting back to the hotel was the only really difficult part so far. Although we are in walking distance (5mins), I had to take a taxi. They wheeled me down to the taxi. Getting in a car was tough very painful. My hotel had a wheel chair that i was able to borrow. My husband wheeled me up to the room. He assisted me getting into bed. A few hours later i was up and walking slowly around the room.
Day 2: didnt sleep so well. It is hard to get confortable. Used about 5 large pillows to position and prop up my body. Getting in and out of bed is difficult now. I am lucky my husband is able to pick me up. I was able to walk to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. I was able to semi sit in a chair. Butt not touching just the back of my legs on the front of the chair seat. I rotated from that position to standing up. After breakfast i spent about 45 mins walking around the hotel gym as my husband worked out. Went back to the room for several hours to rest. I had a afternoon follow up appointment. We left the hotel and walked to Dr Mejias office, about 10 min walk. He couldnt believe i was walking the way i was. Everything checked out ok. We walked to a restaurant for lunch then back to the hotel for rest. Repeated the same routine for dinner. We walk eveywhere. Its much easier than getting in and out of a taxi.
Today, day 3:
Pretty much the same routine. Im getting in and out of bed without help. I have to have help getting dressed and putting my shoes on. Dr appoint at 9:00. He checked the drains. He said i should get them off tomorrow. He said that since im doing so well he would propably remove the morphine pain pump as well. I spent about 2 hours walking today.
