I Had a Mixed Experience
I recently underwent several procedures with Dr. Furkan Certel, including 360 lipo, arm lipo, buccal fat removal, and a supercharged BBL with implants. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the results.
Being 6'0" tall with an average build and as a transgender woman, I was encouraged to get implants. The doctor recommended 330 CC implants, which I later found out are the smallest size typically used for the most petite patients. As a result, the projection is barely noticeable, with perhaps a 1 cm difference from my original shape. This outcome is incredibly frustrating, especially considering the high cost and the significant recovery time involved.
I also experienced complications from the implants, including wound dehiscence that required hospitalization. I felt there was little consideration for the potential risks, including the placement of scars and the increased likelihood of further complications. It now seems that recommending the implants was more about upselling than genuinely considering what would be best for me. In hindsight, I believe the doctor should never have advised these implants, given my body type and desired look. He knew these implants wouldn’t do much for me and still told me it would be better if I had them.
Regarding Dr. Certel's bedside manner, he is polite, but I met him only briefly before the surgery, and I felt there wasn't enough communication. I wasn’t shown any examples of the implants beforehand, which I found unprofessional. They asked me what I wanted to look like, and I chose a photo from their Instagram. They told me that the person in the photo had a supercharged BBL, leading me to believe my results would be similar. Later, I reached out to that individual on social media, only to discover that she had undergone three BBLs and multiple rounds of filler. This revelation was disheartening and felt like clear false advertising, giving the impression that such results were achievable in a single session.
On a positive note, the team at Voila is fantastic. Special thanks to Dr. Certel's assistant, whose name I can’t recall, but she was incredible—truly a great person. The massage therapist was also wonderful, and I genuinely enjoyed her company. Dr. Ala was lovely and very informative as well. The aftercare I received from the team was among the best I’ve experienced; they treated me like royalty.
However, it's important to note that this is a business, and you should expect to be charged for every little thing. For example, I was surprised to find that only one massage was included in the price, and replacement corsets cost around 150 euros.
Overall, this experience has left me feeling quite depressed. After all the pain, cost, and recovery time, my buttocks look nearly the same as before. I regret going through with this surgery, and I hope this review helps others make a more informed decision.
