Not Feeling my 65 Years So I Did Something About It - Argentina

I had been looking at myself in the mirror and thinking that my face didn't reflect how I felt. I sent some realistic pics of my face and neck and lower back (fat pads that just wouldn't go away no matter what I did) which I didn't like. Dr Freschi proposed a composite deep plane facelift with some fat graft (lipofilling) harvested from the abdomen, flanks and back for skin regeneration. He also said there was significant redundant skin in the upper lids that would benefit from a a blepharoplasty. I was a bit overwhelmed because I wasn't expecting all of that but I decided to go with his advice. I'm very glad I did. As I write it's been just over 3 weeks now and I'm very happy with the results. The process of healing is still ongoing; no pain but parts of my face still feel very tight. My waist looks great as does my neck. Dr Freschi explained to me that the deep plane will take longer to heal but the results will last longer. I feel his explanation makes good sense and I look great so I'm happy to wait. Since about Day 5 or 6 I've been able to function more or less.I have been feeling back to my previous energy levels for over a week now. I feel this treatment has taken at least 10 years off from where I started and totally recommend Dr Freschi.

Whoa, you look great! Thanks so much for sharing your experience. Do you have any recovery tips for others going through similar procedures?

Thanks for your comment. My advice would be to make sure that for the first 3 or 4 days you have support or if you're going it alone as I did, make sure you prepare food (in my case soft or liquid food easy to eat). You will want to do very little for those days and just make yourself as comfortable as possible. Also don't despair if you start feeling really down after the first few days questioning 'what the hell did I do? It does come right. So just be prepared for a possible downer. It's now 4 weeks since the surgery and I look great but I still have a lot of stiffness and some numbness around the ears. The doc says this is normal and the deep plain just takes longer to heal. I'm functioning ok, so I can deal with it.
