I met with 2 surgeons prior to my Breast Aug in Nov, 2016. The first was considerably less expensive and was very informative, however, I felt he was more on the one size fits all side of the business. Although Dr. Bucky was on the higher end of the spectrum price wise, he really made me feel completely confident in the procedure. One of my breasts sat lower than the other and although they were proportionately sized, I was concerned about them looking uneven. Dr. Bucky, like the other surgeon noticed right away that there was a difference, and that different sized implants were not the key. He decided to fix the issue with placement. I felt great knowing I'd have the benefit of his experience, and his talent to create the best outcome. The other surgeon simply said they would be "mine but bigger" and dismissed my concerns about them looking obviously uneven with the increase in size. I also shared my concerns about how I would feel post-op and he assured me that the combo of the techniques he uses in surgery as well as the pre and post op medication/supplement combo would all work together to reduce the discomfort as well as my anxiety which I was concerned would impact my recovery time. The office in Ardmore is beautiful, and I enjoyed meeting the staff during my pre and post-op appointments. Dr. Bucky did a group information meeting the day I was there, prior to my individual appointment where he went through many before and after's, he was also very open about missteps he made early in his career and how he has learned and perfected his techniques over the years. I was a bit overwhelmed at the group appointment, as it was a bit strange asking questions in front of other patients, but ultimately it turned in to a great experience because many questions and answers were covered that I may not have thought of. He was also able to go in to great detail about the procedure and options. In the one on one he was very focused on my individual case and how to optimize my result. Surgery day went great, and while I did experience some unpleasant vomiting post surgery, the medication and the care made it a good experience. Don't forget to take advantage of your anti-nausea medication, it really works! I was very uncomfortable for the first few days, the medication helped my sleep, and I was able to return to work on the 5th day (surgery on Thursday, and returned to work on Monday). At 2 months post op, I have seen tremendous changes, and I'm just starting to feel they are becoming part of me, and getting back to normal. They are looking great so far, perfectly placed, and the scars are really disappearing! I did pay $80 at my last appointment to get a special scar cream, but the scars were raised at first and now they are completely flat and I think eventually will be barely there. The office uses Natrelle implants primarily and the manufacturer gives a voucher for a free botox treatment or latisse for me and a friend as well! The office also gives you three underarm laser hair removal treatments. This was much appreciated. I ended up with 339cc silicone implants on my small 5'4" frame and I think the size is perfect. If I had a wider frame I think the 371cc would have also worked, but Dr. Bucky digitally measures you ensuring that he recommends the correct size for each patient. This digital measurement should not be dismissed if you are shopping around, you'll see the program gives you your exact measurements and also allows you to preview your results. It gave me an extra layer of confidence in my size choice. All in all, I am thrilled with my new look, and can't wait for bikini season!
