Writing to warn others about Dr Adrian Ooi

He botched my face.

Had to do a 2nd surgery because during my first surgery they somehow “forgot” to make arrangements to order the cylinders holding the gas for general anaesthesia. And i was only told the morning of surgery after I arrived and was already going into the surgery room.

The doctor then proceeded to problem solve by saying he could still carry out the procedure with local anaesthesia. Obviously, because I didn’t know anything at the time I said ok.

So he started to cut the inside of my mouth (buccal fat removal surgery) with local anaesthesia, and I swear to god it was the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced. I kept crying and wailing so the procedure didn’t last very long and he couldn’t cut deep enough to pull out the buccal fat in my cheeks. So he basically didn’t do anything.

Can you imagine being awake while someone cuts the inside of your cheeks and you have to hold still jaw open wide etc.

So yea… the doctor looked extremely disappointed after the surgery and told me he couldn’t do much because I was crying and it felt like it kinda became my fault.

They told me to come back for the second time…and if I rmb correctly they got me to pay more for it too (this was in 2021).

It was a shocking experience and I was still an inexperienced consumer with plastic surgery at the time, so I did come back for the 2nd one.

I’ve been to Seoul ever since and now understand that I should’ve never been put in that situation by him ever.

I rmb after the second surgery with him, he told me he had removed all the buccal fat and he looked so proud of himself. For the record, after this entire ordeal, I went to Seoul and the doctors there were all wondering if I ever got buccal fat removed because even after undergoing a second surgery, they still managed to find a ton of buccal fat. So yea.. what a waste of time and money and most importantly scarred me psychologically for a long time. Hence why I could only write about it now.
