9 Days Later

The recovery was easy. I forgot about it after the 3rd day but it was sore to touch for about 6 days. On 5th day the stitches on the right side are totally undetectable. On the other hand, my left side was not stitched up as neatly and as a result not healed as smoothly. Hopefully in time it will smooth out bc it’s it feels like there’s food stuck between my cheek and teeth and it’s driving mad! I suspect the right side swelling is very minimal right now but the swelling on the left side is definitely still there which the Dr said is to be expected Bc he had to manipulate more on that side to get the fat out (which is true, the right side was much quicker and painless). I also noticed he took a little less fat out on the left side ( I hope that’s not Bc he was getting impatient) so I really hope a lot of the lopsided that I’m seeing right now is from the swelling and is not permanent! I’m going to give it another week. I will keep you updated then.

Buccal Fat Removal

I've always used filler to give my face a slimmer and less round appearance but I don't want my face to "look slimmer" anymore, I want it to "be slimmer". I dissolved all of my filler and next step remove Buccal fat! I opted to drive myself home so I did not take the Valium offered, only a local anesthetic and an antibiotic before we began. It didn't hurt for the most part. I was grossed out more than anything from feeling the tugging and tasting the blood and guts in my mouth on top of taking the antibiotic on an empty stomach, I was queezy. But before I knew it, it was over. It's been about 12 hrs later the anesthetic wore off, I'm a little sore n starting to swell but totally tolerable. I expect the results to be subtle but I think it's a good first step to getting a slimmer and tighter face.
