Personal Trainer, 49, stubborn saddlebags

WORTH IT$1,000
This was my first ever procedure—Sculpsure on my outer thighs/saddlebag area. I had been to two surgeons before for lipo consultations, but I never could bring myself to undergo elective surgery. Jess is friendly, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and as a woman, she could simply relate to my issues and concerns. She talked me through the entire procedure and even answered a follow-up email from me right away. I have a small concern that the applicators were placed too low—just below the widest protuberance of my fat deposits, but Jess assured me that the fat will be eliminated from the targeted areas. I know it will take 6 weeks—my procedure was yesterday—to see results, but there are already lumps that I am dutifully massaging as instructed. I was told what to expect regarding pain, after-care and follow-up visits. The cost was very reasonable and there was a discount offer. The waiting room lovely as was the receptionist, and the treatment rooms are very clean. Parking and commute were also a breeze.

a possibly neurotic clarification
After I posted my pre-op pics announcing that I'm a personal trainer, I had some pretty shitty thoughts about readers saying to themselves (but graciously NOT commenting to me) that they would never choose a personal trainer who had an ass like mine. So I'm posting another type of before and after photograph, of me before I started weight training, and after. Despite the visible abs, my back side STILL looks as if I've never lifted a barbell or swung a kettlebell. I do these things ALL THE TIME.
I felt at the onset of puberty as if my body betrayed me. My hips widened at such a pace that I developed stretch marks. I was forever jealous of girls with narrow boyish hips. This was the look in the 80s and 90s, when I was in my teens and twenties. Now in my late 40s I can thank Kim Kardashian, Iggy, Beyonce, Serena Williams, etc. But their booties are still rounder than mine would ever get no matter how strict I was with my diet or training regimen. I'm not only a personal trainer, but a certified kettlebell instructor and Precision Nutrition coach as well. I am here to tell you that no amount of diet and exercise will eliminate the stubborn fatty patches unless you are willing to get an eating disorder, lose your period, your friends and your mind. I first read about lipo in Elle magazine when I was 15 and fantasized about it ever since, going as far as a couple surgery consultations where I was sectioned with a Sharpie and pronounced "uneven," and "doughy."
When I learned about Sculpsure, I knew it was for me. After my treatment, which did indeed hurt like a [RS bleep], I drove home and did the laundry. I haven't noticed a change yet but it's only been two days.
Here's hoping that my 34 year wait has finally come to an end.
Thanks for reading!

LOL on “neurotic clarification”. Don’t worry. I think most people understand that genetics is the number-one component that determines the size and shape of your butt. I actually have the opposite problem. No matter how much weight I gain or exercise I do my butt stays pretty flat. LOL. Being of Asian dissent certainly doesn’t help. Btw in case you weren’t aware can edit your title (add or delete words) whenever you want. Talk later. :-)

LOL thank you. :) I think you're right. Meanwhile, how come we can edit a post title but not the content? It's driving me insane. PS, for butt roundness have you tried barbell hip thrusts? it's been a game changer for my once flat, wide butt. now its round and wide, lol.

Sorry I don’t have the answer to that question. I do agree it is quite frustrating that we can’t edit our updates or comments. Although we can edit the title and the captions in our review pics. You can also delete your review pics anytime you want.
I’ve tried just about everything for my butt over the years. And yes there are certain exercises that can achieve improvement; although it won’t ever be the nice round shape most people desire. Have to say though my small butt really doesn’t bother me anymore. At my age (63) I’m just thankful to be in good health and am able to stay in relatively good shape without injuring myself. Lol. I do a lot of swimming. :-)

I would kill for a body like yours...before or after! I just finished my second round of Sculptsure to help with my flanks. I’m 62 years young, and have a flat butt, small hips, but some “juiciness “ in the flank zone. I’m hoping to look as good (and young) as you when it’s all said and done. lol. Good luck. Keep us posted. Love following you.

I love your post. So honest. I can't wait to see your end results!

Love this post, I totally can relate!! (Except I am not a personal trainer and I wish my abs and arms looked like yours) I remember my friends calling me bubble butt in high school and who knew all these years later people would be getting implants back there and trying to make their butts bigger!! While my butt is now flat and wide it’s those spots on the side sticking out that drive me nuts. Even at my thinnest and best in shape my butt just wouldn’t cooperate. I was too scared to try Lipo for fear of a more dimply look or unevenness. This treatment seems like our best bet for these areas!

thanks julstummy! i gotta say it's kind of liberating to "meet" others who can relate 100% to this issue. I'm really hoping this works because if it doesn't i'll be chasing lipo next and i'd really like to avoid invasive surgery, recovery, risks, compression garments, risks, etc.

Yes, it is kind of a relief to see I'm not alone in my problem area. And to see how absolutely in shape you are and still have the issue helps me see that doing some kind of treatment is necessary. Guess it's just in our genes! Hopefully we see results that trim these areas, I will be ecstatic!!

Thanks for the post. It was really encouraging. It’s so hard knowing that you did everything diet and exercise wise and that one area just won’t budge. I know I started to feel like a failure and more unhappy with my appearance because the weight fell off everywhere but that one area. So thanks for the post cause you start to question decision like this..I know I am still going back and forth.

lumpy details
this pic shows clips of a video i was unable to upload. you can see the lumps that formed almost immediately after treatment. I had two applicators per side. They are barely noticeable even the morning after. Now it's two days post and it's either the miracle of biology, the dutiful massages I've been performing, or both. Updates to come.

I have the same problem area and I also have noticeale results from two treatmetns. However, I do get bruising from time to time and I was wondering if the same happened to you? I was told I may be massaging to hard even though I honestly did not think so.
Hope to hear from you!
