WORTH IT$425
Only Day 1, actually 10hrs post application. Will be sure to continue to update my process along the way. I've been dealing with this for about 1yr now. Have never used so much makeup prior and I'm hopeful this will help. I want my old face back! Never leave on vacay without your makeup to buy cheap without SPF, THIS IS WHERE IT WENT DOWN HILL FOR ME.

Totally loving my results! Using moisturiser and 50spf sunscreen daily plus just started wearing my It Cosmetics makeup for the extra SPF. Totally in love with my results. I get daily compliments on my skin and shine.

Your skin looks lovely! I just applied Cosmelan 1 seven days ago and now with C2 maintenance. Quick question: when you applied C2 the second/third time during the day, did you clean your skin first to remove the previous C2, hydra facial & sunblock, or did you just applied on top of it? Many thanks!

Washed and re applied. You'll start peeling and want to wash that skin off. Also, I only applied Aquaphor until Instarted peeling then started Factor K On peeling areas.
Be generous with Aquaphor.

Great, thanks. One final question: what would you say was the % of lightning of the melasma in the 1st week (with the C1 mask), and how much % came from the application of C2 in your 21 days? I noticed around 65-70% of improvement after the mask, but in the forehead only 50% (if that much), so wondering if it might come off in the follow-up mask application in week 4...

I would say the same % . As for the forehead I didn't have a lot so I'm feeling good about it. They mentioned that it may come out darker along the way but to not stop the Cosmelan 2 because it was just continuing to bring it out. As long as you're peeling there is work to be done and it takes 7months to reset the skin. Be consistent.

I just re-read my post and it was poorly phrased... I was talking about my OWN melasma and the improvement on my forehead, not yours ;-)

Hi! What treatment did you use for your melasma?

Hello there. Some new developments over the last 2 days. I've applied C1 on May 26, so this is day 12. My skin got extremely dry - if I open my mouth all the way, the skin "pulls" my eyes down, so tight it feels. Even when I try to remove C2, it feels there is a layer of dry skin on top of it, very tight. It's like leather. Some parts (eg chin) have been peeling so much that the skin is hurting. I've been applying the Vital K, but I don't think it's enough to re-moisturise the skin (any cream suggestion is welcome).
Yesterday evening I did not apply C2 to give the skin a break. I removed the C2, cleaned the skin and re-applied only the Vital K.
Today, the skin is getting itchier and itchier by the hour. I've plastered the skin with Vital K, but it gives comfort for a few minutes only. It's getting quite intense.
Anything similar in your experience....? The dryness, itching sensation after the 1st week? Many thanks in advance.

Hi! is that normal? How
is your skin now? I have experienced the same thing with cosmelan. My skin is quite dry and tight and very red and burns and I’m cosmelan day 12 already. Is that normal? I’m scared i’ve burnt my face already with this

Don't forget to use Aquaphor generously during the time you are using Cosmelan C2. Don't peel any skin off or scratch. You will notice using Aquaphor as much as needed should calm all that down.

Hi abichua. Sorry, I got no notification of your message.
Update to my situation. The itching got very intense, as I think the skin could not process that much cosmelan (2x day) plus sudden complete 'withdrawal' ie., not using the product at all.
I continued using cosmelan, but just a thin layer, plus hydra factor, and the itching subdued in a couple of days.
On another topic, which I didn't read anywhere.... in the first weeks / couple of months, the skin becomes very THIN and sensitive, and very prone to hurting, even with very mild touch or any force at all. The skin would come off my fingers if I tried to extract a pimple, of use a bit more pressure to wash the face. Also applying/removing the product........BE VERY CAREFUL to not hurt your skin.
My treatment is progressing really well. It's month 5, I apply cosmelan once or twice a day, it depends whether my face was sweating during the day and I feel it didnt stay enough, I then reapply in the evening.
The melasma has overall reduced by 80%, some places by 90%. The biggest, most solid patch is still a work in progress, but much, much better.
I havent had any acne for the past 3 months, which is incredible. The scars from acne (which I created early in the treatment by trying to pop them!), are slowly but surely being "smoothed out".
The luminosity and texture of my skin are completely different. I can now wear just a little make up / foundation and I'm ready.
Another 4 months to go and I'm confident it will get even better by the end of the treatment. Cosmelan is totally worth it.
