I am not satisfied with the results from my single breast reconstruction, left and breast lift, right. I wanted to wait and do lift on right later...after I lived with the reconstruction for awhile. He tried to talk me out of it in prior office appt. then finally succeeded in the pre-op room. He wanted them to "match". I gave in and regret it. I wish he would have listened to my wishes when I was not so stressed out. The lifted right breast has nipple too high and this cannot be lowered so options for changes in the future are reduced. If I decided on implant on right side it would further highlight the too high location of nipple. There is also some increased armpit "fat" resulting from scar tissue in the breast preventing the fat to normally redistribute itself. He never saw a problem so I could not get an answer for how to fix this. It is a real disappointment to be unhappy with how my breasts look but to also not be able to wear sleeveless clothing because of my armpit. All this, for DCIS stage 0 makes me wish I had choosen lumpectomy, watch and wait, or another doctor. It is not terrible, thus 2 stars. Otherwise would have been 0.
