Helped my Saggy Eyelids!

ORIGINAL POST

Helped my Saggy Eyelids!

WORTH IT
My eyelids were somewhat saggy and I found myself always raising my eyebrows to sort of hold them up which made my forehead ache all the time. That was pretty awful. They also made my eyes feel heavier and sleepy.

I had the surgery and, while it was better, I had wanted a more noticeable result so I did have it revised about 5 or so months later. The revision was done with me awake and I had no issues. I mean, it wasn't a pleasant experience AT ALL but it was what I wanted and I was glad he was willing to do it.

I am happy with the results and I don't get those daily forehead aches anymore (which I ended up reading can be common in people with eyelid issues). It doesn't look fake or too tight and I think it definitely took some age off my upper face.

Yes I could have just had eyelid surgery but I also wanted my brows raised so that is why I chose this surgery to get results in both areas.

Pardon my red eyes. I tend to take these pics at night when Im super tired and allergies are flaring.

Hey there, I assume it was a lateral brow lift? Not tensor threads? (just making sure because you mention revision like it was a walk in the park but if it wasn't tensor threads I suppose you had to take your entire healing journey one more time?). I would be interested in hearing more about the type of brow lift you had (lateral I suppose? endoscopically or not?) if you don't mind. And your recovery? Thank you thank you thank you. You have pretty much the same "issue" than I have so I'm very interested in what you have to say. All the best!
Hi :) There were no threads used. I should probably know the term for the surgery I had but honestly I don't so I will just tell you what he did. I assume it's the lateral one. There was an incision on the top center of my head running front to back about an inch or so and then on either side of my head maybe 2" into the hairline possibly less were incisions maybe as much as 3" long.

So when I had the revision I was awake for it and basically he opened the side incisions back up and it felt like a shoe horn was being jammed in there to separate the skin from...the muscle? I don't know. Then he pulled it up tighter and stapled.

I drove myself home and was fine. I definitely took Tylenol and Ibuprofen regularly for at least a day or two maybe three. Recovery wasn't too bad but that all depends on the individual. I wish I could remember more and even though it wasn't that long ago I really don't. Not from drugs as I didn't use any prescription pain meds lol I think I was just so happy to have it done that the recovery wasn't a big deal. I would definitely get it done again and kind of plan to do so in a few years.
It definitely hurt and was not easy to sleep since I am a side sleeper but like I said it wasn't so bad I wouldn't do it again. I hope if you get it done it goes well and you are happy :)
