Happy!
I love my results from two BBL treatments. My skin is smoother, tighter, the red sports are gone, acne scars are gone, pores are smaller! I do have two spots on my high cheek bone that I believe were “burned” because of the thin tissue in that area. I had scans for weeks. I was an idiot and peeled them off when flaky instead of intensely moisturizing and treating like burns. But this minor flaw does not negate my happiness in my final outcome :) I’ve even thought about going back and getting a treatment on my biceps where I have scarring from severe eczema as a child.
2nd treatment
And most likely my last lol. It’s painful y’all and expensive! If I didn’t have a coupon for both of these treatments I probably would have never done these treatments because $500 per treatment is a bit extreme. I have seen a difference, and that makes the first treatment worth it. But I am waiting to see if the second treatment was worth it and then I’ll come back and post another update. For right now I’m kind of thinking this was a crazy idea although it has shrunk my pores, it has cleared up the redness pigmentation in my face, it has diminished my acne scars not all of them but most of them, and it basically has cleared up my skin overall. For the pain that it is though I’m not really sure if I would recommend this to a friend I mean I have but I also warned them like listen this is kind of like having a baby. Where there’s excitement in the beginning and at the end but the labor of it is intense. Lol
Broadband Light (BBL) treatment
My first treatment was today. I was nervous! The nurse gave me numbing cream and she told me that she wanted me to use the entire (small) container to make sure I had adequate coverage, and numbing. So I did and I’m sure glad I did! It was painful.
Two of my three children were born without inventions or medications, I understand pain. I’ve also had brain surgery (craniotomy). I’m not a sissy by any means. I would say pain was about a 5 or 6 on the scale of pain from 1-10. I was told it felt like rubber bands being flicked at you and in my honest opinion I’m so glad it didn’t feel like that! What it felt like was electric shocks to my face. Bolts of intense light right onto my face. Not pleasant by a far!
With that said, I’ve scheduled another treatment in three weeks lol! It wasn’t painful enough to scare me away. I’m definitely down for the “beauty is pain” shenanigans. Bring it.
