Gaps and divot

Nice to spend thousands of dollars on straight teeth and then end up with a dent in the front tooth.

Divot in front tooth

This was my second set of invisalign. I had them...

This was my second set of invisalign. I had them years ago and stopped wearing the retainer so they shifted a bit. They weren't too bad but I thought I could fix them once and for all, and hopefully stick to wearing the retainer this time! I told Dr Papas very clearly that I was concerned about shaving in between my teeth because they were becoming too thin and sensitive. He convinced me that another reduction was necessary for best results, so I begrudgingly allowed him to do the teeth shaving. I thought that he would be careful because I repeated this concern several times. NOT SO. In fact it seems he went out of his way to be careless with my teeth and over-reduce them.

At one of my appointments he shaved my teeth before it was recommended by the invisalign plan. He did not allow me to protest. I asked "why did you do this now?" and he said "they are almost straight. it will save an appointment." I didn't spend thousands of dollars to have my teeth shaved at the incorrect time, when my teeth aren't even fully straight..?! Unsurprisingly I've ended up with uneven shaving and excessive reduction of my teeth. I needed FOUR extra aligners to close the gaps, when this was only a 6 month invisalign treatment to begin with. Last but not least he offered to smooth out my teeth, and ended up grinding into a small divot on my front tooth. I asked him why he did this to my tooth and he said he thought I asked him to do it. ??? Obviously noone would ask for a divot in their front tooth!

CARELESS AND UNPROFESSIONAL. DOES NOT LISTEN TO PATIENT CONCERNS. REDUCES TEETH AGGRESSIVELY. DIVERTS FROM RECOMMEND PLAN TO SAVE TIME.
