Mr Wolfgang Kuepper

just a little follow up and a little bit about me, I am a retired plumber and spent many years fixing roofwork in Queensland, Australia and therefore have had a lot of exposure to the sun (despite my best efforts to "Slip Slop Slap" i.e Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen and slap on a hat etc, I have had a few operations to have "spots" removed. I have been to a few Doctors and also a plastic surgeon, I have also been subjected to what I would call "meatball" surgery resulting in a very displeasing result on my nose in 2012, AFTER THAT I decided to ALWAYS go to a Dermatologist for all future skin checks , I have nothing but praise for Westside Dermatology. In my case the options were limited as the "spots" were Squamous cell carcinoma and needed removal, I have supplied the photos as requested, for me the ear alignment was very important and as you can see from the photos supplied this has been a success. The size of the piece of ear removed was a wedge about 10mm on the contour and about 15mm into the ear, the photos were taken on day 4 after removal of the bandages so some bruising is still evident, and while there is still a little work to be done in removing the sutures and perhaps some laser work to correct any possible scarring, the alignment of the ears is very pleasing to me. Post treatment, I was given details on "caring" for the wound, a prescription to manage the pain (really it was minimal other than the wound healing pain - body adjusting to removal etc), anti-biotics and a follow up phone call 2 days later to check on my well-being. The overall experience was excellent, and all this, including my fears regarding surgery and outcomes were managed with the reassurances of Dr Manoharan, a highly skilled Dermatologist and Surgeon, and the wonderful nurses.

thanks to the professionalism of Dr Manoharan on a routine skin check, what I thought was merely a wart growth on the ear and a skin blemish on the forehead turned out to be dangerous Squamous Cell Carcinomas, both were removed on my next visit only about a week later. I thought this would be a disfiguring operation on the ear, as it required a "wedge" piece to be removed, days later I removed the bandages and really very pleased, considering the scope of what needed to be done, other than a slightly swollen look (it is only 3 days after the operation) it is virtually indiscernible that an operation has taken place and visually the results are extremely pleasing. They are a very personable and professional team at Westside Dermatology. They deal with many skin issues from purely cosmetic (and who doesn't want to look their best) to Skin Cancer issues. I have had a number of different treatments over time and have always felt complete confidence in Dr Manoharan and the team.
