Question on muscle/breast distortion when flexing

Hi everyone

I was wondering if anyone else who has had their implants removed experiences a bit of distortion when flexing their muscles, where the breast lifts up quite high in the chest?

I never experienced any capsular contraction with my implants but I did experience a sense of pulling and tightness with my right implant. I have found that I am still having this senesation one year post op (removal) and when I flex the muscle the breast looks distorted.

It's not a major concern as it is only when I tighten the muscle via lifting etc but I thought it would be something that would go away. I have tried massaging the muscle but this doesn't seemed to have improved the matter.

I would love to hear any similar experiences like this.

Hi, I had my implants removed 18 months ago and I have the exact same problem when flexing. I do a lot of mixed martial arts training and my chest looks very distorted when doing push ups etc....

I have a friend who had the same issue and she went through further surgery t gave the breast tissue released from the muscle (I think this was the procedure) and she's had a lot of success with reducing the distortion issues.

I've just accepted that it's the norm for me now but a little annoying nonetheless. You look great without implants btw!

Kerry, what Doctor did your friend see to help with the distortion? If you don't mind me asking :)

I think you look fabulous!! I'm also wanting implant removal but also filled with anxiety, but I will be over the moon if my results are anything like yours!! I'm on the Gold Coast and extremely interested in who your PS was, I've already seen one and waiting to see another but want to source the best as I have little to no breast tissue, any info you can give me would be so appreciated. Keep going the way your going you look great and believe me your scars will not even be noticed by the right one....,,good luck :)

My original surgeon was Dr Gregory McDermott, who has actually moded to the GC since. He was great, however since I am in Beisbane I got the removal done by Dr Georgina Konrat in Annerly. It was over in less than an hour and I only had twilight sedation. The recovery is far less painful than the initial surgery.

Thank you for the info, sending warm wishes for your great recovery :)

I have the same thing. What's aggravating about it is that I actually don't mind the way my breasts look at rest, I kinda like them :) My left breast has it very slightly & needs a lot of effort in order to move upwards- so not really any worries with that side. However, my right breast moves upwards pretty easily & becomes sore after a lot of activity. I had a consult with a doctor about the distortion (not my original ps) & she explained to me that this can be addressed by sewing the muscle back to its original position on the chest wall. I'm tiny like you, so I think in order for us to have had those implants placed in our bodies, the ps had to cut or "release" the inner border of our chest muscle a little. This can cause deformity if not reattached upon explant. I would love to hear examples of women that have had the reattachment procedure done, as well as outcomes, but it seems like no one has any review on it at all :(

Mines exactly the same - the right side is a lot more sensitive and the muscle lifts up at the slightest a movement. I've decided I don't want any more survey though so I'm just going to have to live with it. I've spent so much money since the surgery trying to help my scars heal and I don't want to go through that process again.

Scar worries

Natural_beauty_90
Hi guys. It's been a while! I am a little over one year post op and completely happy with my decision. The only thing that is causing me grief is my scar. Because my breasts are so small, they unfortunately are not big enough to hide the scar in the crease so it is quite obvious.

I broke up with my ex 7 months ago and haven't been with anyone since. I'm actually afraid to start a relationship with someone new because I am afraid they might judge me, or be turned off by my scar. I know I'm being superficial and the right guy shouldn't be bothered by something like this, but it is affecting my self esteem.

I suppose I was just wondering if anyone else post op has entered into any new relationships and what the response has been from their partner? I'm looking for some reassurance I guess. I was never self conscious with my ex because he always reassured me he was attracted to me just the same (I got them removed whilst we were together), but I'm worried about starting things with someone new.

Any feedback would be helpful :)

Believe me, tiny little scars will be the LAST thing on any "fortunate" man you choose to be intimate with! Probably won't even notice and I guarantee you, if they do, they won't care! You are young and you look fabulous!

I pray I have results like you! Don't worry about your scars! Have you gotten any mederma? That stuff is awesome! !!

I am about the same size as you after removal. I have had mine out longer and as I can see the light scar I doubt anyone would overly notice. I would think men would prefer you to be natural as you are instead of a bag inside your body. You look great and don't ever think otherwise. Only the right man will love you for who you are and he is out there.

you have amazing results! A guy that really cares about you will not care about scars! I met my bf with implants and bad scars and he didn't care and now no implants and scars and doesn't care either. I struggle with it myself but am working on not being so insecure about it. You have a beautiful youthful chest......any guy would be attracted to you. I use scar stops from amazon......they work very well:)

I removed mine a year ago and I do hate looking at my scar (constant reminder of a bad decision). I was with the same guy before, during, and after, he doesn't seem bothered by my scars at all. He says he doesn't really notice them, this makes me a happy girl!!

Two weeks post op

Natural_beauty_90
Hello everyone! Today is the first day I've seen the incisions, as I've been wearing medical tape provided by the surgeon since the surgery (changed at one week post op but I couldn't see). As I guessed I don't have enough breast to 'cover' the scar', but the incision doesn't look as bad as I expected. It's a lot smaller than the original one, you can probably see from the photos where the old scar extends from the new one. I still have to wear my compression garment for another four weeks, and to keep replacing the tape at home every week (supposed to help aid scarring). I cannot wait to be able to go and buy some underwire/push up bras!! The garment really pushes down the little amount of breast tissue that I have and it limits the clothes I can wear because it's quite big and shows through. I'm still so happy with my decision though :) I can't excercise for another four weeks but I'm back to my usual routine and daily tasks. I couldn't even wash up dirty dishes properly or lay in bed comfortably for for first week. I was afraid to strain my muscles so I was being very careful though. I'd just like to say thank you for everyone's support and your lovely comments. You've really helped me reaffirm that I made the right decision. Not even my boyfriend has seen me naked properly yet so your feedback is very appreciated :)

Thank you. I'm really glad they've helped. I honestly don't know if I would have done this if it weren't for all the lovely women on here who have shared their stories. It's nice to know we're not alone :) Good luck for next week!

you look beautiful! Don't be afraid to show your boyfriend.......you look great!!! Your incisions will fade to a hairline that is barely noticeable too. When the scabs are healed use silicone scar strips:)
