I started to consider PRP for hair loss many years...

I started to consider PRP for hair loss many years ago when I first started to notice hair loss at my temples and hair line. Initially, my primary care provider suspected that it was temporary and did not think it was too bad, however a little before I turned 30 my hair started falling out by the hundreds. I literally could not run my fingers through my hair without pulling out 10-20 hairs. This was a lot since my hair is already so fine!
After running a battery of blood tests and a scalp biopsy, it was determined that I have run of the mill, standard androgenic alopecia. Huge bummer.
It was around the time I started to notice that my hair didn't look good up or down that I got serious about hair loss treatments. I saw a couple of dr.'s in Philadelphia, but they were always trying to sell me something else and I didn't like how aggressive they were with the sale.
I discovered Dr. Rapaport by doing some research on Real Self. I went for my initial consultation and I knew that this was where I should be going. He was extremely knowledgable, kind, and most importantly, realistic. He was confident that PRP would help my hair loss or at least halt it.
I started to notice changes soon after my first treatment in terms of number of hairs lost while brushing and in the shower, more improvements after the second, and miracle-like improvements after the third. Seriously, my hair is growing like a weed and it is THICK. My hairline is back, my part is tighter, and my temples and sides are almost entirely filled in. I just had my fourth treatment yesterday, and I can't wait to see how much it will continue to improve.

Main Take-aways:

-Dr. Rapaport is personable, smart, and honest. He will tell you what to expect and doesn't sugar coat anything.
-Since the treatment is not guaranteed, the cost per treatment is not exorbitant. I paid $600.00 per treatment without A-Cell (definitely did not need it!)
-He cares if you are happy. I was not expecting miracles. At first, I wanted to rule out needing to take medications or live my life on Minoxidil.
-If you live in the NYC/ Philadelphia/New Jersey area, no need to look any further. See Dr. Jeffery Rapaport!

Dr. Rapaport cares about his patients. He is friendly, personable, and really knows what he is doing. I would recommend him for this treatment to anyone. I am considering getting some laser treatments done for broken capillaries on my cheeks and I won't even consider anyone else.
