I Waited Too Long

WORTH IT
I'm a 47 year old professionnel and I have wanted a BR since my mid 20s. I wanted to wait until I had children so I would have a greater chance to breastfeed. By the time I had both children, we started moving ofter for my husband's work and I never did find the time to schedule my surgery. Living in Canada, I wanted the surgery to be covered by the provincial medical coverage. The BR was covered but not the liposuction to the back or used to reshape the breast to a more natural shape.

First dressing change and under breast scares after drain removal
dsc73January 3, 2021
The first few days have been a blur. I slept and took my pain meds around the clock. I have to say that it is the liposuction that is causing the most discomfort. I did not realize how much my body was aware of the drains until they were removed! What a relief in my comfort level! All is well that is progressing well!! The incisions are beautiful, Dr Ford did a wonderful job and I am very pleased with it all!

I am so happy with the results! I can find relief in my back and the scares are healing beautifully, I cannot wait to see the end results! The scare on the left breast is a bit more raw but it is still closed and that is what counts for me. The scars for the drains are on the side of the vertical scars but I think they will be unnoticeable once all healed
