Breast reduction Tricare Prime

Hello ladies I know it’s been awhile since my last update. As you all know my surgery had to be rescheduled due to my iron level being low. Therefore I was put on iron pills that I had to take 3 times a day and had to have blood work done every two weeks for an entire month until my levels were back up. Now I can happily announce that I’m all cleared to go ahead with the surgery!!! My pre-op appointment is on Apr. 30th and my new surgery date is on May 9th. I’m so happy and I can’t wait to get this done and over with.

Today was my pre-op appointment. It went really well. Had to take a pregnancy test and got my weight and vitals checked. My PS and I went over the plan and procedure and he answered any questions I asked. I’ll be having the anchor procedure done and I’m going down to a small C cup. I don’t really have to buy anything for surgery because they’re providing everything (surgical bra, gauze, tape, etc). I also got a prescription for 5 meds. Hydrocodone for pain, an antibiotic, a nausea patch for behind my ear as well as promethazine. I was also given a pain pill to take 2 hours before I leave for surgery. I’m all set and I can’t wait for Jan. 31st to get here!

I recently had my first consultation with my plastic surgeon for a breast reduction and I’m so happy to say that Tricare Prime approved my surgery 2 weeks after my consultation. I’m so excited and my surgery is scheduled for Jan. 31!!!
