Complicated and Ultimately Poor Experience

I had a complicated experience with dr alderman. I think it’s important to start out with saying that my results from my breast reduction with her were not bad. I came out of it with no complications, very nicely shaped and perky breasts, and very little scarring. But she did not listen to my goals, and did not take me anywhere near as small as I had asked to be. When it was clear that I was unhappy with my results, she immediately turned mean, and that demeanor persisted through every check up over the next 6 months. When I requested one last time for a revision (I settled at a 32DD, after only about 160 ccs taken from each side) she said to me “your goal is to look like my prepubescent teenaged daughter”, told me I needed therapy, and said if I went back for a revision I would look “horrible and deformed”, with “matronly, flat breasts”.I thought this was really weird terminology from someone who is willing to inflate breasts to unnatural sizes.
I was using the app all her patients use to track progress to… track my progress, and both her and her nursing staff insisted that the pictures I took of my own naked breasts were evidence that I was confident and happy with my results, and only complained when I came to see them. The whole experience was bizarre and left me confused and upset.
A year and a half later, I reached out again through email and asked again about a revision, and was told that they would not perform it because my results would be, again, deformed, and that dr alderman was not willing to refer me to someone else. I found another surgeon on my own, and he removed literally more tissue than dr alderman did on my first reduction. He was really confused as to why she thought I couldn’t possibly go smaller. I am now half the size she left me at, and with all due respect, I think I still look like an adult rather than a preteen, and I do not think I look deformed or matronly.
Dr alderman produces very pretty results, but she has a specific idea of what looks good and what doesn’t, and will not work with you to achieve your goals. I would not recommend her for a breast reduction if you want to go small, or if bedside manner is something that is important to you. She’s not very nice at all, and it cost me a lot of money to correct what she did.
