Life Changing

One year out from my surgery, I am feeling more confident than ever. My scarring is nearly invisible, my back pain has reduced significantly, and I am able to wear comfortable bras that don't restrict me (or even no bra!).

Dr. Rowe is a transparent, thorough, thoughtful, and compassionate surgeon. He made me feel like my problems were being heard, and I felt confident in his depth of knowledge.

During my initial virtual consult, Dr. Rowe gave me a detailed explanation of the procedure, the different types of breast reductions, and what he recommended for me based on my ideal size. He also answered any and all questions about the procedure itself, insurance coverage, and payment plans. Following my initial virtual consult, I went in for an in person at the Park Ave location to meet with the NP Besiana and Dr. Rowe where they went over the details of the procedure again, helped me better envision my potential results, and came up with a plan to move forward.

My procedure took place at Hudson Regional Hospital, and a ride was arranged to pick me up and take me back home to my apartment in Brooklyn! In the weeks following, the pain was pretty minimal—the worst part was when the incisions were healing and started to itch, so can't really complain! The RPS team stays available for any questions, and schedules regular follow ups (around 1 day post op, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year) to keep up with progress and address any concerns.

After 2–3 weeks, my right breast was showing some more significant bruising than my left. I sent pictures of this to Besiana who asked me to come in, and her and Dr. Rowe were kind and reassuring, and quickly resolved the issue by drawing some stuck blood from the bruised area. After this, the rest of my recovery was seamless, and the team kept up with me to ensure there were no complications!

The entire team at RPS Park Ave has always made me feel welcome and safe. I have felt supported throughout the entire process, from my initial consult, to handling any issues with my insurance before and after surgery to ensure the procedure would be covered as much as possible, to my one year follow up.

I am very happy with my results, and grateful to the whole RPS team, NP Besiana, and Dr. Rowe! :)
