Mark has changed my life! An incredible surgeon

ORIGINAL POST

Mark is the Absolute Best!

WORTH IT
Mark has changed my life! I had a breast reduction, a lift and an implant two months ago at Highgate Hospital. I could not have gone to a better surgeon/person, I'm sure of that. He has truly magical hands and is extremely skilled, but not only that, he also really seems to take pride in his work. It's really nice to see a surgeon be so happy for you and genuinely care about you! If I ever need anything done in the future, I don't want to go to anyone else but Mark - that's for sure :)
I'll go into quite a bit of detail now for those who are considering this surgery, as I know how helpful it is to read in-depth reviews before going ahead with the surgery!
I have always had large and heavy breasts with ptosis. I was very happy with my size but not happy with the appearance and heaviness of my breasts; I'm only 25 and with no kids, so I was worried it would only get worse. I started looking into my options for surgery and spoke to a couple of surgeons in London, but walked away unhappy with what they offered. Then I met Mark and I'm so happy I did! Just after the first Zoom call, I knew in my heart Mark was the right surgeon for me. Mark is very straightforward, honest, and has your best interest at heart. I felt like no question was ever stupid. I must also mention his PA Christine - she is absolutely fabulous. Christine answered any questions I had at any time of the day, any time of the week and nothing ever seemed like trouble! Really lovely lady who made this experience even more special.
On the day of surgery, I was really nervous about the anaesthesia process and I'd never had surgery before, but I not once found myself feeling nervous about the actual procedure - I trusted Mark completely. Mark's anaesthetist and the anaesthesia nurse at the hospital were both so lovely and really assured me there was nothing to worry about, the nurse even stroked my hair in the theatre to calm me as I went under haha! I'm happy I went with Highgate hospital - I had a really lovely private room to myself, and the food after surgery tasted heavenly. My main nurse was a really caring person too, and was always there for me quickly after I pressed the button for assistance. I was really out of it after the surgery for a while, but after a good night's sleep I was feeling fine. Even though they were super bruised and swollen, my boobies looked amazing already! The feeling of not constantly feeling them resting on your stomach and weighing you down is just incredible!! :)
My healing period overall has gone quite smoothly. The first week I felt pretty rough, but once you start feeling better, it feels like you're getting better quick and it's all very much upwards from there! My left breast took longer to soften up and drop, and sat higher than the right one for quite some time, but Mark assured me it will even out and now I can confidently say it definitely has evened out. The scars looked quite sore and not very nice the first month or so, but they started healing really fast. I kept saying to myself trust the process! Now two months later I'm already over the moon with how the scars are looking - can't wait to see them a year from now and can't even imagine how good they'll be then! Mark is so precise, his scars are so neat and thin - it's really incredible. I did have one small wound open up that got infected at the T-zone (pics included) one month post-op, but this got resolved super quick as Christine squeezed me in to see Mark the same day after he had a cancellation. Needless to say, was really impressed that I got to see him so soon. He prescribed me some antibiotics and they helped me within two days, now the infection is all clear and the wound has healed beautifully.
There's a couple of things I wish I'd known/prepared myself mentally for before surgery. Firstly, the post-anaesthesia bloat is really something else! I didn't take any Codeine but was still super bloated for the first 4 days or so after my surgery. And I'm talking literally barely fitting into my panties and joggers that were a bit big before! However, once the constipation passed and my body started recovering, the bloat went away. Secondly, the antibiotics can make you very nauseous! On the second day post-op, I felt incredibly sick and didn't want to eat but had to force myself to take the medication, it was awful. But after talking to Christine, I managed to make myself power through that day and things got better the next day. Turns out this is what happens if you take them on an empty stomach - so make sure you never take them on an empty stomach!!
Things that really helped me get through the recovery: zip-up and button-up clothes (you will need those), lots of water, dry-shampoo, a V-shaped pillow and a comfy travel pillow (can't stress this one enough!!). The first few days were tough as I couldn't even sit up by myself so it's really good to have someone with you for that time, really helps if you don't have to do everything by yourself.
So it's been two months now, and this surgery has truly already changed my life in so many positive ways. The ability to wear cute things without worrying about bra straps, the lack of breast tissue sitting on my stomach all the time, the amount of confidence I gained... it's indescribable! For the first time in my life I can look in the mirror and truly smile at what I'm seeing, and for the first time in my life I can walk around the house topless in front of my partner and not feel the need to 'hold them up' or stand a certain way to make them look good haha. I still have no feeling in my nipples but I'm not worried about this. I went bra and clothes shopping two days ago, and it's a whole new experience! Best thing I've ever done for myself, and I can't thank Mark enough :)

Hi. What scar cream are you using?
Hi, I’m only using silicone tape as recommended by mark. I also use bio oil every now and again but mostly just silicone tape!
How much did your surgery cost? Your results are amazing!
It cost me somewhere between £9,500-£9,800 can’t remember exactly. They offer finance options too. And thank you, I’m so happy with them!
What size implants did ypu get ease?
They look amazing!!! Did u have an implant with the lift? What size if so? They look so good!!! I am jealous. I’m 10 days out from a lift and implants and mine look soooo bad like footballs stuck on (natural look is super important to to me). Like u I just keep telling myself to trust the process!! It’ll take a couple of months just want to fast forward to that and hope they end up natural eeeeek.
Wow you look incredible!
What size implant did you have please?
