Breast Reduction Journey

Hello to anyone reading this, in this review I will explain about myself and why this surgery was needed but more importantly the amazing surgeon and his staff that helped me through the whole process!
So basically when I was younger (roughly 14/15) I went through a major growth phase especially my breasts. I ended up at a size 34 ddd which led to some major problems later on including...
wearing two bras at a time for full coverage and support, dips in my shoulders from the weight of the breasts causing the straps to dig in, constant neck and back pain, clothes not fitting properly etc.
I finally couldn't stand it anymore and starting researching local surgeons in my area and thus the process began.
I found Lancaster plastic surgery and called to plan a consultation after establishing that they accept my insurance. (this is important to find out because if this is considered medically necessary insurance helps cover etc.) So I scheduled a consultation. The day of the consultation I was shown a video that helped cover all important factors involved with the surgery and was then seen by Dr. Levin who examined my breasts/took photos and did an evaluation to send into the insurance company so they could see all the reasons why the surgery was needed.
After insurance cleared the surgery the staff worked with me to get a surgery date.
The day of surgery ran smooth and was not near as painful as I expected. Like any surgery you get there and the hospital staff come in and get your iv drip and antibiotics started, check vitals etc. The surgeon comes in and marks your breasts to ensure sizing. After all prepping you get put under anesthesia and the surgeon gets to work. When I woke up I was in more discomfort than pain, there is pain but nothing extreme. When you wake up you are wrapped up with gauze and a surgical bra to hold you in place. this is an out patient procedure so once your awake enough they send you home. Key things to remember day of surgery someone must drive you and take loose pants and a zip up or button up loose fitting shirt.
The healing process feels slow the first couple of days, but by the first week you start to get back on your feet. Do not rush your healing process and follow all of your surgeons instructions for everything.
Now the people that made this happen...
A huge shout out to Dr. Levin and his staff!!
