Breast reduction journey starts here....

Since I was 12 years old, I’ve been conscious of my chest. I was a DD in my early 20s despite having 10% bodyfat, moving to a DDD/E in my late 20s. After breastfeeding two kids, I ended up as a 38G. Although aesthetics of a smaller chest (looking professional etc) would be a welcome change, the biggest part for me is the constant pain I’m in. It’s only become worse over the last decade and now it’s at a point where surgery is really the only thing I haven’t tried to relieve my pain. I suffer from chronic pain in my upper back, chest, lower back, shoulders and neck and my pinky and ring fingers on both hands have pins and needles all the time. I found Dr Lee online when researching reductions and fell in love with the natural profiles he creates, vs a fake looking result. He works with insurance companies, too, which is huge. I was planning a trip to Phoenix to see Dr Gawley but I actually prefer the before/after shots from Dr Lee’s practice and it’s a huge plus that he’s local.

This helps me so much! I'm moving back to oregon and have wanted a reduction since I was in my 20's! I definitely am hoping to use insurance to pay for this so that's great he helped with that process! Any tips for someone just starting the process?

I would carefully assess your goals, the minimum size you'd be happy to end up at. I'd also assess if there are any cosmetic concerns (rib fat, neck fat etc) that you'd want addressed in the process at additional cost. To get these things done at the same time is a lot more economical. Good luck!!

My insurance company denied my initial claim, but Dr Lee’s team insisted on our right to appeal. They coordinated a peer review and my surgery was approved! I’m scheduled and so excited ... can’t wait for Feb! Gina is amazing and Dr Lee is a great patient advocate.

Approved for surgery, but worried about new size...

I have been a large chested woman my whole life, and I have a reasonably large frame (~185lbs & 5’5) with larger rib cage, etc. I was approved for surgery this month but I’m a little worried about how small the insurance co wants me to be. The doctor projects I’ll be a C-cup at the end of the day - going from a G that sounds tiny! Anyone else went from a G to a C?

I am scheduled for May 11 and am hoping to go from 38G to 36C, my doctor said that was resonanable and I should have good results.

I went from an H to a D and they grew back and I was at DDD now down to a large B/ small C

If your a woman that fluctuates then your gonna gain weight and they might too
And as we age they tend to droop so they will not remain that same size smaller is sometimes best

But you have to do what's comfortable for you. Because your the one that is wearing them ,so do what makes you happy

I am 3 weeks out going from an H to a C/D (not finalized yet, obviously). They still look plenty big to me… hoping they get much smaller with loss of swelling.

I wouldn't expect them to get much smaller fyi! if anything they will look a bit bigger once they aren't so tightly up against your chest. Good luck!
