My Journey to No Longer Look Like a Walking Set of Boobs!
Hello!
I am going to be getting a breast reduction in a little over two weeks (I'm so nervous!!!). For my background, I'm 34 years old, 5'1" (almost), and I weigh between 160-163 thanks to the COVID 8 that I gained. My biggest bra is a 34G, and I'm starting to think I need to size up to a H or GG but who needs to buy more bras that are stupid expensive when you're getting your boobs chopped off? So I settled for a crappy $5 bra at Walmart that's a 38DDD. The band does not fit and I don't even cares.
I've had boobs since I was 13. At 24 I weighed 105 lbs and I was a 32DD. I loved my cute little boobies! Just before I turned 28 I got my grown woman body and my lower half caught up with the upper half and beyond. My 32DD's grew to 34DDD's when I weighed 130 lbs. Not bad at the time...well they didn't stop there. When I turned 30 I got a boyfriend and gained another 20 lbs lucky me, and voila! G cups...and no boyfriend...
In 2017 I started getting muscle spasms in my mid back that were debilitating. I went to the chiropractor and that helped. Fast forward to 2019 and I was in a car accident and ended up with a neck injury. That really pissed off my back. I went to physical therapy, went to the chiropractor, had 3 spinal injections, and still ended up in the ER because I thought I was having a heart attack...Nope...it was a muscle spasm...I also get horrible sharp pains between my shoulder blades. Well...my physical therapist thought it was because the heavy boobs so I started visiting plastic surgeons...
I got a consultation and was denied coverage...thank you UHC... I decided to not even try the insurance route because the pain is unbearable at times and the appeal process is just...the worst. So I visited with a few plastic surgeons in the area and I applied for Care Credit. I'm located in Raleigh, NC and I'm working with Dr. Rhett High with Raleigh Plastic Surgery.
I may have fibromyalgia but from what I heard...this should definitely help. More than anything...I'm excited to see the rest of my torso...It's already short and my boobs just eat it up. I think my big boobs are fantastic they're just stupid painful. I'll do what I can to keep documenting the process here. We'll see how this goes!
