Magnificent job - healed quickly and have hardly any scarring

I developed large and heavy breasts since I started puberty (at around 9 years old) and since then they kept getting bigger and heavier. By the time I turned 34 years old in 2021 they were 34G (despite only being a size 10/12). I wanted to get fitter and healthier at the beginning of 2020, and despite being able to progress with Joe Wick's The Body Coach cardio HIIT and weight lifting program and seeing some results, my large heavy breasts started to impact my progress further and made it painful, and I knew no diet or exercise was going to make them shrink. Also the incredible back pain and my breasts being disproportionate to the rest of my body made me feel really self conscious and miserable (I hated clothes shopping with a passion!) :(

After reading many reviews (and big shout out and thank you to 'hantsgirl94' review on Realself, her breast reduction journey review really helped me and how I found out about Mr Hurren), I decided to book an appointment and see Mr Hurren in June 2021. He made me feel really comfortable throughout the consultation and understood my concerns of aiming for my breasts to be as small as they possibly can. During my initial consultation he did feel a lump in my right breast and asked me to book an appointment with the breast clinic (he also sent a referral to them too). The lump was all fine and benign and Mr Hurren confirmed he can remove it during the breast reduction surgery.

My surgery was booked for 15 October 2021 at Spire Portsmouth Hospital and all went really well. All the staff there and Mr Hurren's team were really friendly and informative, I felt relaxed. When I got home I only took painkillers for about two days, and then after that I didn't feel any pain and was able to keep pretty much mobile (of course not lifting anything heavy straight away). After my one week post operation appointment I did have a reaction to either the sterile strips or sterile wash they used (when they remove the initial "bandages" after surgery). This rash made my breasts turn red and become really really itchy to the point were it was really unbearable. Mr Hurren and his team were fantastic and helped me straight away, he prescribed a steroid cream and dropped off a referral at my local pharmacy so I could get it as soon as possible.

Overall Mr Hurren has done an magnificent job, I healed really quickly and have hardly any scarring. I cannot recommend him enough, he is an amazing surgeon. I've gone from a 34G to a 34DD, and it has helped me continue my health and fitness journey (I no longer have to hold on to my breasts when running anymore haha!) :)
