To Dr Nick Moncrieff and his incredible team,
After waiting 20 years, and raising 3 children, all breastfed, I finally decided it was time to do something just for me. I first noticed my breasts changing when I was 12 years old. I had always been a small frame (size 8 -10), and almost overnight I went from having very little breast tissue to a DD. There was no gradual change.
By the time I reached 51, my bra size was a 14G. I had constant back and shoulder pain, and despite being fit and active with sports, athletics, and parkrun, my breasts had become a major barrier to my comfort and fitness goals. I had simply had enough.
I spoke with my GP, who referred me to Dr Nick Moncrieff. It took me a couple of weeks to build the courage to make the call I had spent my whole adult life trying to hide the part of my body I disliked most. But from the very first phone call, every staff member was welcoming, supportive, happy, and incredibly professional. They made me feel comfortable and informed at every step.
I proceeded with a breast reduction, lift, and liposuction. The surgery went exactly as planned. I am now 3 weeks post op, healing well, and still amazed at how smooth and positive the entire experience has been, from the first phone call to today.
It’s still early days, but I’m already excited for the new chapter ahead: feeling lighter, more confident, and finally able to enjoy tank tops and spaghetti straps without discomfort.
