Excellent Surgeon - Fantastic Results.

I had previously had upper arm (reduction) surgery which was carried out by Mr Winterton and despite a number of alternative recommendations from friends, I knew who I trusted to carry out my bilateral breast reduction surgery.

I made my first contact with Vicki, who provided me with written information regarding the procedure including the price. This enabled me to prepare for my consultation with Mr Winterton and gave me some time to think about the questions which I needed to ask.

On arrival at my consultation, Mr Winterton gave me and my husband a warm welcome and we discussed my preferences with regard to a breast reduction or a breast lift. From the information that Mr Winterton gave me (regarding the differences in operations), I decided to opt for a breast reduction as I felt that I needed to reduce the size and weight of my breasts. I had a second consultation before the operation date in order to have an opportunity to discuss any concerns or questions which may have arisen since my first visit. My appointment for surgery was confirmed.

All pre -operative tests were carried out at the hospital by very friendly and caring staff and the day of my operation arrived. I was shown to my room, which was clean and comfortable and more pre op tests were carried out.

Before my surgery, I was visited by Mr Winterton who explained the surgery once more and outlined (literally - with a pen) what would happen during the surgery and the expected outcomes. I was also seen by the anaesthetist who had a lovely manner and was very reassuring.

When I was fully awake after the operation, I was over the moon with the [immediate] results of the surgery (there was some swelling) and was relatively pain free. I attended an appointment with Mr Winterton 1 week after the surgery whilst the dressings were removed and was so pleased with the results. Mr Winterton gave me advice on looking after my skin and the scars after my dressings were removed.

I am now 8 weeks post operation and I am 100% leased with the outcome of the surgery which is all due to Mr Winterton"s skill in this type of surgery. My scars can hardly be seen

Throughout the process I was fully supported by Mr Winterton and his surgical team (anaesthetist and theatre staff) and his team at the Beeches (Adminatrative staff and nurses) with special thanks to Vicki who couldn't be more supportive despite me asking the silliest of questions.

The service provided by Mr Winterton is first class. He explained everything in a clear and understandable manner, inviting questions and following up with a written dialogue of discussions. He offered support and advice throughout the consultations and was sensitive to my needs. He was professional in all aspects of his role but was caring, reassuring and kind especially before I went into surgery. He ensured I felt suitably recovered to go home when he visited post operation the next day. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his team and I would recommend Mr Winterton for his surgical service on all accounts.

As for the results of the surgery, I am one happy woman; my confidence has increased and I no longer suffer from back and neck pain due to the weight of my breasts. I am able to wear clothes which I couldn't before and gone are the days of 'popping' buttons on my blouses.
