Best Decision I’ve Ever Made

I had my first and only breast reduction consultation with Dr Afet in February 2024 via video call, and I instantly knew she was the surgeon I wanted. She was incredibly informative, didn’t sugar coat anything (which I really appreciated), yet spoke to me as a person not just another case. I’ve wanted a breast reduction ever since I first developed breasts, and she made me feel truly understood.

In the lead-up to surgery, Deniz, the patient relations specialist, was amazing- always quick to answer my (many!) questions, which made the whole process much easier. I flew from the UK to Istanbul for my surgery in February 2025, and everything went more smoothly than I ever expected.

When Dr Afet removed my bandages just a couple of days after surgery, I couldn’t believe how good everything looked. The healing process was surprisingly quick, I was back at work within a couple of weeks without any issues. My biggest fear was wound openings, but thankfully I didn’t experience any.

I know my breasts will continue to settle and change over time, but right now, I couldn’t be happier with the results. These past six months have flown by, and I still can’t believe I actually went through with it but honestly, it’s the best decision I’ve ever made.
