Day 5 post op
So pain is very minimal. Honestly my back hurts worse than anything from having to sleep in one position so n my back all week. Really my only complaints is not being able to get comfortable to sleep at night, and this Mississippi heat makes me sweat as soon as I step out of the house. Sweat and under boob stitches is no good!
2 days out
So I’m two days out and took my first shower today and my bandages off. I’ve started having a little nausea and dizziness for the first time today which was strange, not sure if I just over did it with the shower and all. Pain is definitely more sore today with taking bandages off but sill tolerable and comes and goes. Still haven’t gone to the bathroom so my stomach is swollen. I swapped out my pain pills yesterday because the Loratab was making me itch all over and not be able to sleep , swapped out for toradal (sp?) and it seems to be doing much better. Definitely look like a crime scene underneath my bandages, but I guess that’s to be expected so not going to worry now just let myself heal
The itching is driving me insane
So pain is tolerable, but the pain meds are making my whole body itch and not be able to sleep. I have maybe slept a couple hours total since getting home from the hospital yesterday, but at this point I can’t go without my pain meds so it’s a catch 22. I did take off my wrap and can see myself with just the gauze. Don’t get me wrong I don’t regret it at all, but it is an adjustment to see the “new you”. Almost like a new identity. They are much smaller than I was expecting them to look.
