I feel more proportionate, more feminine, and more attractive
Fantastic Experience
For as long as I can remember, the size of my breasts has been an aggravation – from the inability to find clothes that make me feel good about myself, to gathering unwanted attention and causing emotional and physical trauma as a result.
I am 5ft 6inches tall and a 12/34G – small (yet very top heavy) frame. I experienced constant back pain, couldn’t go without a bra, wearing swimsuits caused neck and back pain from the lack of support, not to mention the emotional ordeal of going shopping for bras or tops/dresses (nothing fit, breasts too obvious etc).
I had considered a breast reduction for many years but had been nervous about the experiences and wary of the costs involved to proceed. A few months before my 30th birthday I made the decision (with the help of a supportive partner, friends, and family) to have a breast reduction.
So, I researched surgeons and specialists for weeks, had many tele-consultations and finally decided to meet Dr Ellis Choy and his team for a face-to-face consultation to discuss the operation.
After my consultation with Dr Choy, I was confident in my decision to have a proportionate breast reduction, lift and nipple reposition. From the get-go, Dr Choy and his team were friendly, helpful, caring, and informative. They were available for all my questions when I had them and happy to help resolve them with me.
The day of my surgery rolled around, and I was prepared (thanks to Dr Choy and his team) – ready to start my life as a “new” woman with a new, more proportionate chest. The next 24 hours were very typical of an “in hospital” procedure:
I checked into the private hospital I had chosen, was processed very quickly, and shown to my room.
Shortly after I was taken into theatre with Dr Choy to be marked up ahead of the procedure and have our final chat before I was put under.
I woke up post procedure and was taken back to my room
Wonderful care from the nursing staff overnight
The next morning, Dr Choy visited to take me through how the procedure went and what my recovery would look like for the next week before he would see me again for our post op appointment.
While I’m only a few weeks post-op, the impact of having the surgery has already been significant. Besides the obvious physical difference of my appearance, my confidence has increased significantly (I feel more proportionate, more feminine, and more attractive). Also, the knowledge that I will be able to find clothes that fit my body, rather than feeling forced to hide under clothes too big for me fills me with excitement.
