3 days post op
Sorry y’all for the late update but I’ve been trying to get as much rest as possible. I got my surgery done on October 6th. I went to surgery center at 9:00 am and after waiting about 10 minutes I was called to get my wristbands. About 10 minutes after that I was called back to get my weight checked and to take a pee test for pregnancy. I was then told to get dressed. After that, they started my blood pressure and IV, my mom was brought in soon after, I think we waited like 45 minutes before they took me back because Dr. Haines was still in a previous surgery. Between that time, the anesthesiologist came in and talked to me and also the operating room nurse. I remember about 20 minutes after that Dr. Haines came in and marked me. They started giving me relaxing medication. They took my mom out while they wheeled me to the operating room. I was asked to change beds and all I remember is them saying they were putting the sleeping medicine in and I don’t remember anything after that. I woke up with new breasts. I wasn’t in much pain, my throat was just so sore and I could barely talk. 1st day home was ok, I kept throwing up because I didn’t take my nausea medicine before the anesthesia started wearing off so that’s my fault, but I honestly didn’t have much pain. I didn’t get much sleep because I have to sit up and sleep so it was weird. 2nd day was good, I got up and walked around a lot, finally ate some food and I played my Xbox for a little bit. Every time I stood up, I feel the incision and my stitches from gravity but I guess that’s normal. Day 3, the color of the liquid in my drains are starting to become a see through red. My incisions are also starting to itch and I’m having a tingling feeling in my left nipple. I can now change my own drains but I’m still not doing much lifting or pulling. My breasts are also starting to get soft. The pictures I attached are from day 1, my post op appointment is on the 12th.
Breast Reduction Almost Here After Years with a K Cup!
Ever since I was a little girl I had big breasts. My breasts started to really grow in 4th grade and it was just a down spiral from that. While in high school, I was a size I cup. I am now 23, 5'8, 215 lbs, with a son at a size K after having my son a year and a half ago. I've been trying for two years to get insurance to approve me for surgery since I have a relatively small frame and big breasts, I was denied twice. I have all the symptoms, especially back problems but they just wouldn't approve me. I finally came into enough money and my surgery is paid off and scheduled for October 6th, I'm excited but also nervous. What are some things you did to prepare and how was the recovery. My mom and boyfriend will be here so I'll have plenty of help.
