Officially a size 38D from an F/G cup

In a Swimsuit

Here's just a pic of me in my swimsuit this past weekend. Boobs looked real good.

Follow Up Appointment and 1 week Post Op

The Wednesday following my surgery I went to my first follow up appointment. There I was able to get my drains removed (which were annoying to have but didn't bother me too too much) and my bandages and things were changed. The surgeon and his assistant both assured me that everything looked really good and was healing well. While I wasn't ready to look at my boobs fully, I could see just from looking down at them, that they were very swollen and still sitting up very high. I asked how long it took for the swelling to go down and the assistant told me it could take up to a full month and I wouldn't know my true size until up to 3 months. She thinks that my size will end up being a C cup but I am thinking a D because they still look full and round but maybe that's because of the swelling . For now I was told I can only wear sports bra's with no underwire or real cup size yet, which is fine by me because the sports bra's have been very easy and comfortable to wear. In my clothes I noticed my breasts look way smaller than they do when i'm looking at them bare. it's so weird. Either way I am still very happy with size.

The next days following that were pretty OK. I was able to move around a little more and I was able shower on my own but I would get light headed or tired if I did too much so I continued to sleep and take it easy. I still had a lot of drainage and fluids coming from my incisions so i had to change my bandages and dressings each day. The pain was still there but not as intense.

By the weekend I was able to drive again and go out of the house to run quick small errands. I would still get tired but it wasn't as bad as the days prior. By Monday which was officially one week post op I was feeling back to normal and starting to get tired of being home from work everyday. (I had taken off 2 weeks as the surgeon instructed). I went out to get a pedicure and nails done as a treat to myself and to get myself out of the house.

I had my 2nd follow up appointment on Wednesday July 12th and again I had my bandages changed and the nurse check to make sure I was still healing ok. The only issue we found was that I had an open suture, and it was leaking a lot of puss and fluid (disgusting i know). The nurse informed me that this happens sometimes and to make sure I put ointment on it and to keep it bandaged up. I also asked her about the swelling (again) only because it made my boobs look oddly shaped on the top and sides. She reassured me it would go down and that they would shape normally with time.

After the follow up appointment I was able to get dressed in some real clothes finally and go out for my mom's birthday dinner. I was so happy to be able to fit clothes I had not been able to wear ever because of my chest. Best feeling ever!

By the time the next weekend came I went to college alumni reunion with my friends and had a great time. I still had to bandage up and wear my sports bras but I was able to get away with wearing a swimsuit for a few hours with just my bandages on. I felt so small and my boobs looked great in it!

Now I am back at work and feeling pretty normal. I get a little pain here and there in my boob area but nothing I can't deal with. I can sleep on my side just a little now, because I am sooooooooo sick of sleeping on my back (it's so uncomfortable). I plan on getting some type of scar treatment gel to start putting on my incisions maybe next week. I also can't WAIT to get back in the gym. I have one more week left before I can go back. That's pretty much it for now. I'll update again in a few weeks !
