DESPERATE for relief! Breast reduction much NEEDED!

WORTH IT
I have had large breast for the majority of my life. It started in junior high school and has continued into my adult years. I have always just thought that because of my weight that my breast size was normal. It wasn't until I had gone through a dramatic weight loss that I noticed my breast were larger than they had ever been, and they were NOT getting any smaller but starting to hang lower and lower. With my smaller body frame, my breast just look extremely large and are becoming more of a pain. I am also having more back, neck and shoulder pain than normal, and without my bras on, my breast are very heavy and they feel so uncomfortable with the weight. The pain in my back has become so bad I have to lay on pillows for some pressure to ease it. I knew that it was finally time to do something about it. I researched the criteria for a reduction through my insurance company's website and then went to see my PCP to let her know about the pain I was having so she could document it. I did some blood work and then she recommended me to a plastic surgeon who would take my insurance. A month later, I met with the plastic surgeon and his assistant. They took my measurements and photos. While taking the photos the surgeons assistant even commented on how large my breast were, confirming what I am already aware of. The surgeon then explained to me that my breast were definitely big enough for the reduction surgery , then told me what the surgery would entail and about the recovery process. He also said that even though I was a good candidate for the surgery to be approved through the insurance, I would need to go through at least 6 weeks of physical therapy, to satisfy them. So I have made my first physical therapy appointment for 3/1, so I can move this process along. I Hopefully this will help alleviate the pain I have been suffering from until I can get through to my insurance company. Confident that everything will work out as I need it too! Will update once things move forward.

Longest Stressful Process ever!

BoobsGottaGo
I finally completed the 4 weeks of physical therapy that the surgeon suggested I do before i went to the insurance for approval. After 2 long months of waiting on the PT facility to send my information to my PCP , then from my PCP to the surgeon's office and from the surgeon's office to the insurance, I FINALLY got my approval letter yesterday. I am so happy because this process has been long and stressful, but I am so happy and thankful that all my perseverance has paid off! My next step will be getting in contact with the surgeons office to schedule a surgery date. I will update once I get some more information. God is so good and I just can't believe I will finally be getting this done. Ahhhhh I am so happy!
