I'm 4 weeks post op from a full tummy tuck, muscle repair and lipo to my flanks. I'm very happy with my results still a little swollen but already looks great. My stomach is flat with a very defined waist. Dr Endara and his staff have been great. He is willing to explain and answer any questions. I wish I had done this years ago.The recovery hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be . I do advise a lift recliner I bought one used and it has been a huge help. You will need help after this surgery.
Love Dr Endara, I highly recommend him. I'm 10 days post op from a revision with a mini tummy tuck, muscle repair. Dr Endara did a BBL as well. I'm so pleased with his work. This experience has been amazing compared to my original experience with another Dr. I went to Dr Endara in tears over my past TT experience. He & his office staff have been wonderful to work with. From consultation, to surgery, now post op. They have answered all questions & calls. Gave me cell phone number to call directly after hours. I highly recommend him for all your plastic surgery needs!
Wonderful. I put off my breast reduction for so long because I didn’t trust anyone one cutting me open until I met Dr. Endara. Every step of the way he was simply amazing. I’ll attach my before and after pictures. I was so happy with my results I got the whole office fresh Krisy Kremes
I've been thinking about getting a tummy tuck for several years now. I have a very short torso, and had 2 9 1/2 lb babies completely demolish my abdomen. I now have severe diastasis recti. The exercises I did after I had my second child actually made the separation worse, and now people ask me when I'm due (my youngest is 4 1/2). I'm 5'7" 175 lbs, working to get to 150 before surgery in late December. I have booked with a doctor who I found online, and I had a really good consultation with him and his staff earlier this year. He has no reviews on this site - he's pretty young, been board certified for 3 years. I'm wondering if any of you have gone with a doctor who doesn't have many online reviews based on gut feeling (he has reviews on other sites, but for other types of surgical procedures)? Thanks in advance :-)
I have had large breast for the majority of my life. It started in junior high school and has continued into my adult years. I have always just thought that because of my weight that my breast size was normal. It wasn't until I had gone through a dramatic weight loss that I noticed my breast were larger than they had ever been, and they were NOT getting any smaller but starting to hang lower and lower. With my smaller body frame, my breast just look extremely large and are becoming more of a pain. I am also having more back, neck and shoulder pain than normal, and without my bras on, my breast are very heavy and they feel so uncomfortable with the weight. The pain in my back has become so bad I have to lay on pillows for some pressure to ease it. I knew that it was finally time to do something about it. I researched the criteria for a reduction through my insurance company's website and then went to see my PCP to let her know about the pain I was having so she could document it. I did some blood work and then she recommended me to a plastic surgeon who would take my insurance. A month later, I met with the plastic surgeon and his assistant. They took my measurements and photos. While taking the photos the surgeons assistant even commented on how large my breast were, confirming what I am already aware of. The surgeon then explained to me that my breast were definitely big enough for the reduction surgery , then told me what the surgery would entail and about the recovery process. He also said that even though I was a good candidate for the surgery to be approved through the insurance, I would need to go through at least 6 weeks of physical therapy, to satisfy them. So I have made my first physical therapy appointment for 3/1, so I can move this process along. I Hopefully this will help alleviate the pain I have been suffering from until I can get through to my insurance company. Confident that everything will work out as I need it too! Will update once things move forward. Updated on 31 May 2017: I finally completed the 4 weeks of physical therapy that the surgeon suggested I do before i went to the insurance for approval. After 2 long months of waiting on the PT facility to send my information to my PCP , then from my PCP to the surgeon's office and from the surgeon's office to the insurance, I FINALLY got my approval letter yesterday. I am so happy because this process has been long and stressful, but I am so happy and thankful that all my perseverance has paid off! My next step will be getting in contact with the surgeons office to schedule a surgery date. I will update once I get some more information. God is so good and I just can't believe I will finally be getting this done. Ahhhhh I am so happy! Updated on 8 Jun 2017: Finally got a surgery date of 7/3/2017 and I am so so happy! that's less than a month away and i can't wait! I have an appointment with my PCP Monday to get some blood work and a pregnancy test done. I will update afterwards! Updated on 29 Jun 2017: Surgery is coming up on this Monday 7/3 . Spoke with the nurses at the hospital about what to expect, how to dress and what to do upon arrival to the hospital. I am excited and ready to get this done and over with. The closer surgery gets the more I hate looking at my breasts :( . Updated on 17 Jul 2017: So I am officially 2 weeks post op and back at work! I actually have a little time to spare to finally post about my surgery and the days following my procedure. The day of my surgery (July 3rd) I arrived at the hospital at around 9a.m. and checked in . the check-in process was quick and easy, and the hospital staff was very helpful and friendly. I sat in the waiting room for all of 5 minutes, when a nurse called my name and then escorted me back into a hospital room. Another nurse came in to take my blood pressure and then I was instructed to put on my gown and to give a urine sample for a pregancy test. My stepmom was then able to come back to the room and wait with me until the surgeon and anesthesiologist were ready to come talk to me. The wait was a little lengthy and I was tired from waking up so early so I took a quick nap . I woke up to another nurse who came in, hooked me up to the IV machine and checked to make sure the pregnancy test was negative. Having the IV in my arm was a bit uncomfortable but not too terrible. Next came in the anesthesiologist who explained everything I needed to know and then reassured me everything would go smoothly. Finally the surgeon came in, asked if I had any last minute questions before he marked me up. I briefly told him I just wanted to be as small as he could make me and he laughed and said ok and went on with his markings. Once he left, I was wheeled out of the room and down the hallway to the operating room. Halfway there, I was given the anesthesia through my IV and all of 1 minute later I just remember feeling so sleepy and going right to sleep. I woke up in the recovery room and I just remember being extremely cold and having an scratchy throat (which is an after effect of the anestesia). I was given some extra blankets from the nurses and wheeled back into my hospital room. I felt good and was able to eat some applesauce and drink apple juice and talk to the nurses. Once my stepmom came back, we stayed in the room for maybe an hour until I regained strength. I then was able to get dressed, and released. Once in the car my chest did feel very sore but it was bearable but i did feel extemely tired and the car ride seemed to last forever!!! Once I finally was home I ate a little soup and went immediately to sleep. The next 2 days were the worst. I was in a lot of pain so I took my medication like clockwork but it made me soooo tired. The pain came mostly from the incisions and it felt like I had been cut. All I could really do in that time was sleep, use the bathroom and eat. I would try to text friends and family in between naps but I would fall asleep literally every hour because I was so doped up. Even though I had not seen my boobs yet I could tell the difference and boy was it big! At first I thought I may have been too small but eventually I got over it and decided I was happy with the size. I could finally see more of my stomach and even though my boobs made it look bigger I was extremely satisfied with my shape . Updated on 17 Jul 2017: The Wednesday following my surgery I went to my first follow up appointment. There I was able to get my drains removed (which were annoying to have but didn't bother me too too much) and my bandages and things were changed. The surgeon and his assistant both assured me that everything looked really good and was healing well. While I wasn't ready to look at my boobs fully, I could see just from looking down at them, that they were very swollen and still sitting up very high. I asked how long it took for the swelling to go down and the assistant told me it could take up to a full month and I wouldn't know my true size until up to 3 months. She thinks that my size will end up being a C cup but I am thinking a D because they still look full and round but maybe that's because of the swelling . For now I was told I can only wear sports bra's with no underwire or real cup size yet, which is fine by me because the sports bra's have been very easy and comfortable to wear. In my clothes I noticed my breasts look way smaller than they do when i'm looking at them bare. it's so weird. Either way I am still very happy with size. The next days following that were pretty OK. I was able to move around a little more and I was able shower on my own but I would get light headed or tired if I did too much so I continued to sleep and take it easy. I still had a lot of drainage and fluids coming from my incisions so i had to change my bandages and dressings each day. The pain was still there but not as intense. By the weekend I was able to drive again and go out of the house to run quick small errands. I would still get tired but it wasn't as bad as the days prior. By Monday which was officially one week post op I was feeling back to normal and starting to get tired of being home from work everyday. (I had taken off 2 weeks as the surgeon instructed). I went out to get a pedicure and nails done as a treat to myself and to get myself out of the house. I had my 2nd follow up appointment on Wednesday July 12th and again I had my bandages changed and the nurse check to make sure I was still healing ok. The only issue we found was that I had an open suture, and it was leaking a lot of puss and fluid (disgusting i know). The nurse informed me that this happens sometimes and to make sure I put ointment on it and to keep it bandaged up. I also asked her about the swelling (again) only because it made my boobs look oddly shaped on the top and sides. She reassured me it would go down and that they would shape normally with time. After the follow up appointment I was able to get dressed in some real clothes finally and go out for my mom's birthday dinner. I was so happy to be able to fit clothes I had not been able to wear ever because of my chest. Best feeling ever! By the time the next weekend came I went to college alumni reunion with my friends and had a great time. I still had to bandage up and wear my sports bras but I was able to get away with wearing a swimsuit for a few hours with just my bandages on. I felt so small and my boobs looked great in it! Now I am back at work and feeling pretty normal. I get a little pain here and there in my boob area but nothing I can't deal with. I can sleep on my side just a little now, because I am sooooooooo sick of sleeping on my back (it's so uncomfortable). I plan on getting some type of scar treatment gel to start putting on my incisions maybe next week. I also can't WAIT to get back in the gym. I have one more week left before I can go back. That's pretty much it for now. I'll update again in a few weeks ! Updated on 17 Jul 2017: Here's just a pic of me in my swimsuit this past weekend. Boobs looked real good. Updated on 23 Oct 2017:
Well been working on this since Nov of 2016. But decided to wait till lost more weight. Highest was 350lbs was 276lbs, currently 260lbs had gastric sleeve in 2013. Lowest was 220lbs in may of 2014. But lower stomach is hanging, pulling, severe back pain, rashes, smells, boils, and bleeds. Going to dr Matthew endara. Started back in Jan of 2017. My health insurance is jacking me around. They started saying they never received and paperwork from the dr office 3 times. Now I received a letter saying denied because they don't have pictures. I clearly have taken pictures at dr office. A co worker of mine just had hers done was approved within a week after seeing the dr same insurance. now I have only two weeks to appeal.
