Extremely Satisfied

Dr. Cober is one of the few doctors in Portland, OR area that performs the free flap surgery. He performed this surgery successfully on a friend who had complications with her implants after a bi-lateral mastectomy. I, too, had complications with my original implants after a bi-lateral mastectomy (different doctor). I was told by two different surgeons my skin was too thin for implants (bilateral implant reconstruction), that a free flap surgery might be my only option. I went a year without doing anything then went to see Dr. Cober. He agreed I had enough abdominal skin to do a free flap surgery but also thought I could do implants again. He said my body was stronger (no longer on chemo/her2+ drugs) and did not have concerns with the skin being too thin. The whole process was different than my first round. He communicated well, gave me data I needed to make educated decisions, patient with my questions, honest and acted based on my direction (how I felt about size wearing clothes, etc). His support staff from the resceptionist/scheduler are also kind and knowledgable. Highly recommend, especially when doors seem to be closing elsewhere.
