I feel lucky that Dr. Rad was my surgeon for my DIEP flap surgery

Following a course of chemotherapy, Dr. Rad was present for my bilateral mastectomy and he placed my tissue expanders. Months later, once I healed from radiation treatment, he performed my DIEP flap reconstruction. Dr. Rad is a consummate professional and a precise and skilled surgeon. He took copious amounts of time with me - whether in person or over the phone - and consistently answered my questions in great detail and with a tremendous amount of patience. My emails and calls were always promptly returned by his staff even if they did not immediately have an answer for me. Scheduling appointments was very easy. My breast cancer diagnosis came as a complete shock. Navigating this new terrain was often difficult, but Dr. Rad made the reconstruction piece easy. I trusted him. I feel lucky that Dr. Rad was my surgeon for my DIEP flap surgery, and I recommend him to anyone in a similar position to mine.
