Unbelievablely Grateful

In May 2022, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and was lucky enough to have had my breast surgeon refer me to Dr. Neil Tanna. Never in a million years would I have thought that the plastic surgeon would be the one who has had the most positive impact on my journey and the one who made me feel the most cared for. Dr. Tanna is nothing short of amazing. He has proven to be what every physician should strive to be. His kindness, patience, and attention to all details, including the administrative ones truly sets him apart from other physicians– and to be honest, in my almost 2-year journey, I have personally seen over 20 physicians and I have not been able to find a close second. His willingness to listen and thoroughly explain things made me feel empowered and confident. His thoughtful compassion made me feel like I was the only patient he was treating. Dr. Tanna explains everything in full detail, always telling me what to expect so that I was not afraid or surprised with the unexpected hiccups that came along during my recovery. At every single appointment I had with Dr. Tanna, I left knowing exactly what the next steps were. If he or his team said they would do something, they did it, not once did I ever have to call the office and ask them to do something they told me they were going to do – they just did it. It is obvious that everyone who works on Dr. Tanna’s team shares his passion for delivering unbelievable service. I am not sure Dr. Tanna can ever fully understand the positive impact that his expertise, empathy, and genuine concern has had on my life the past two years. I struggle to accurately put it into words. I am not sure there are actual words for it, it’s more of a feeling – “we got you” - that’s the feeling – and it is amazing.

In addition to all that, Dr. Tanna is an amazingly talented surgeon. I am truly grateful to be a patient of Dr. Tanna’s, he has made this horrible journey less scary, and less horrible for me.
