The Most AWESOME Oncology & Reconstruction Team

Last year, 05/12/2024, I was diagnosed with DCIS Grade III. Initial Stage 0, final report Stage 1. None of my nursing experience prepared me for the news of requiring at minimum Left Breast mastectomy. Ultimately I elected Double Mastectomy with DIEP Flap….With much hesitation initially. However, I was blessed with Dr. Rinkinen as my Plastic Surgeon and my experience was AWESOME from initial consultation throughout to final presentation. He explained all in “lay” terms & addressed all of my fears/ concerns. I am FOREVER GRATEFUL for my Oncology & Reconstruction team. Thank you, Dr. Rinkinen, for your support throughout. You’re the BEST!
