Cancer fear gone & over the moon breast reconstruction results

My Cancer Fear Has Gone and I Am over the Moon with the Results
WORTH IT
I was referred to see Lyndsey on the NHS for my risk reducing double mastectomy. Due to the pandemic, this non urgent operation was put on hold and so I opted to see her privately in order to have it done sooner. In both her NHS and private practice she was extremely professional, empathetic and such a lovely, genuine, caring person. She completely understood my fear and anxiety of getting breast cancer and why the operation was so important to me. I was apprehensive about having implant reconstruction after learning that my preference to use my own tissue for reconstruction wasn’t a feasible option. I even contemplated going “flat” but she fully reassured me about the safety and aesthetic of implants in my case, and put me at ease in choosing this option. I’m so glad she did as the result, at nearly 9 weeks post op now, is more than I could have hoped for. The size and shape of my new breasts is so much more in proportion with the rest of my body than my old saggy ones. The implants feel warm, soft to the touch and very natural to me. I feel so lucky to have been able to reduce my chances of getting breast cancer down to almost zero whilst gaining a wonderful pair of breasts.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Lyndsey as your surgeon. Her professionalism and care before, during and after my surgery has been outstanding.

Glad to hear you're happy with your results! Were there any other reasons why you chose to do implants instead of "going flat"?
