6 Month Update

Here's another update! I've been meaning to make these before/after comparison pictures for a while because it's so interesting seeing the difference - particularly the side profile!
I've gained a bit of weight recently (thanks university) and also restarted the pill, so they are a little bigger than they were on the last update (or I think so, as I can't get measured until lockdown is over). I'm really excited to properly get measured, as none of my bras fit me anymore so I never really wear anything but sports bra. It honestly feels like such a privilege being able to go braless, as before the surgery I would have felt way too self-conscious.
I think the scarring has healed up really well too. All the redness is gone, so it's just a white line now, which I barely even notice anymore. I think the scar line is even less obvious than my natural stretch marks, so I'm really pleased.
As I've said several times already, I couldn't be happier with them! They look so natural and "normal", and I love that (obviously barring any disasters) I shouldn't need any future surgeries. They feel completely like "mine", and sometimes I forget that I had any surgery on them. :)

2 Month Post-Op
Rational984137October 14, 2020
Feels like a lot longer than 2 months - the surgery feels like forever ago! Just had my 2 month post op appointment and everything is good. The lower pole of my breast has softened up completely - I think before it was just residual swelling - and they feel very soft and natural. They look about the same as before, though now all the scabs have come off and the scar lines are less red. I'm wearing silicone scar sheets 24/7, and am slowly weaning myself off of the sports bras. Though, after wearing them for so long I've realised how uncomfortable normal bras are! - however, that might be because of lockdown I can't get fitted, so I don't think any of my bras actually fit me...
I'm at university now having an amazing time, and I'm so happy I got this done when I did! Feel like I can properly move on with my life without having to worry about my boobs. Thank you Marc Pacifico!!

I had my post-op appointment 5 days ago and I got the tapes removed. They finally feel like 'mine' now, and I'm super pleased with how they look - very small & all natural!! Still have a few scabs left over which should hopefully fall off in the next couple days so I can start moisturising & massaging the scars. The weirdest part is just having underboob now - I keep leaning against things as I would before against the lower part of my boob as that used to be chest wall, and now it actually has breast tissue there - it's really strange!
That lower part of my breast where the tissue was expanded out into is quite hard/firm to the touch right now, possibly because of swelling, or maybe just because the tissue is pulled tight so it's firm? Either way I don't really mind as I'm sure it will sort itself out in a bit of time. There is also a small harder 'nub' part on the side of my left boob which is not noticeable visibly but just a bit weird to touch, so if it is still there by the time by next appointment comes around in 6 weeks I might ask about it. You should be able to see in the pictures too some of the puckering of my skin around the incisions, which I know is super normal for a cirumareolar surgery like mine. There's a lot less puckering than I was expecting just considering the big change in my areolar size/puffiness! Other than that, I'm happy with my healing.
Now at 1 month I'm a lot more active now - I can lift my arms up and down without discomfort, and otherwise feel normal. I'm itching to get out and go for a run but I know I need to wait until 6 weeks or so. I'm not sure what the normal time people get back to heavy cardio like running - I would hope maybe I can get back sooner as my boobs are so small I don't have to worry about bouncing much!
Once my scabs are all gone, I am going to start scar massage with some oil I have at home, and then wear silicone scar sheets for the next 3+ months. If anyone has any other scar tips, they would be much appreciated!
