Tomorrow will be 3 weeks.

Tomorrow it will be three weeks. My incisions are all closed and looking good for only being 3 weeks. I still have a lot of discomfort on my sides where I had lipo. Breasts themselves feel fine. Last week when I went for a follow-up, I pointed an area out on my side that was really bothering me. Surgeon wanted to make sure I didn't have a pocket of fluid forming so I got jabbed with a needle, but there was no fluid. Just a lot of swelling still. At this point in my recovery I have more good days then bad days. Didn't need any Tylenol yesterday but then needed it today. I'm now getting ready for round two! In 5 days I'm having a neck and lower face-lift. My surgeon said the recovery from that will be much easier. Definitely glad to be getting it all over with at once. Here are a couple pictures I took yesterday.

One week down - 1 week follow-up pics

4/08/21- woke up feeling pretty good today. Went for my 1 week follow-up. My surgeon removed all my steri-strips to look at my incisions. He was very happy with them. My swelling had also gone down some. The spot on my left side that was draining and sore happened to be a blood blister. So glad it wasn't my incision! Nurse cleaned all my incisions and put new steri-strips on and off I went. Later that day started feeling a little sore. Got worse as day went on. Assuming my breasts were just agitated from my doctor visit today. My blood blister was also bothering me a lot. It was raw and rubbing against my compression bra. Decided to put a tissue between it and my bra. Ahhhh, so much better! Turned in early and slept good.
4/09/21- very sore today. I'm sure tomorrow will be better.

Prior post continued. Hit submit to soon.

Night 4 didn't sleep real good. Day 5 was a really bad day. Not because I was in pain but because my breast were itching REALLY bad and I knew I couldn't scratch! The nerve endings were also doing funny things. I really thought I was going to lose my mind. At one point I tried putting an ice pack on my breast and it helped some. Late in the afternoon I noticed a small wet spot on my left side. I removed my compression garment to look. I was hoping the incision wasn't opening. I wasn't sure what was going on but it didnt look like it was the incision. The area that was "leaking" was where two pieces of tape were meeting up. I noticed a spot that looked sort of raw. I knew I had my one week follow-up in 2 days so would let my surgeon know then. After not sleeping good the night before, and then having a horrible day, I ended up taking an Ambien (sleeping pill) and my two Tylenol, and went to bed early. I slept like a baby and felt much better when I woke up. Day 6 was a great day, thank goodness, but noticed that one spot was still draing some. Attached some pics from day 5.
