Braless Date Night!

Went to an event tonight and was so excited to wear my dress without a bra! I am 5 weeks post-op and am so happy with my results. I wanted to cry when I put on my dress and didn’t have to worry about finding the right bra to wear to make sure my breast were lifted and not sagging!! I am so happy that I went through with this lift and selected Dr. Youn to perform the surgery.

Two week update
AndreakjNovember 12, 2019
It’s been exactly two weeks since my BL. Today is the best day by far. Over the weekend was pretty rough as far as pain, but the burning and sensitivity I was feeling has subsided. I still have a lot of swelling and my left breast is larger than the right, but I’m sure it’s just the swelling. I’m still sleeping on my back, wearing a compression bra and taking all the vitamins my dr gave me. My next appointment is in 6 days, which they will change my tape and provide further instructions on the healing process. I’m still very pleased with the outcome.

Wow they look awesome. Thanks for sharing. I have mine scheduled for June 1st
November 18, 2019
Congratulations on scheduling your procedure! I know you have to be so excited! Please let me know if you have any questions beforehand.

Oh, I’m 9 days post op and my left side is also muuuch more swollen than my right. Making me nervous but I feel better seeing that you also are experience uneven healing with the lift. Yours look great!

November 17, 2019
Our girls tend to do their own thing but will fall into place eventually. Happy healing
November 17, 2019
Thank you! My doc isn’t concerned and it’s so soon after surgery so I am sure it will go down in a week or 2!
November 18, 2019
Thank you! Something about that left side, but I'm optimistic that everything will even out. Are you experiencing any pain at this point?
November 18, 2019
Not too much, except on almost my rib area from where they had to close the lollipop incision (since I have no crease incision, it stops to just under my boob/my rib). Like it almost feels bruised. Aside from that, I haven’t had any pain other than sensitivity and itchiness around incisions a little. But I go back to work tomorrow so we’ll see by end of day!

Hi hi! Checking in on ya! How are things coming along??
November 24, 2019
@issysf thanks for checking on me! Things are coming along just fine. I had my 3 week checkup and he cleared me to begin lower body exercise, and told me to start using the scar gel. I've been putting antibiotic ointment in this week and will start the scar gel next week. I'm loving my lift more and more each day!
November 24, 2019
Oh that's so exciting!!! Out of curiosity, does lower body include abs? Glad to hear everything is progressing smoothly!!!!
November 25, 2019
No it does not include abs. I don't feel ready to start working out my abs or other parts of my upper body just yet. I'm going to wait another two weeks for that. It's funny how your body will let you know what you can and can't do.
November 25, 2019
Tottttttallllly. You mentioned lower body and I just thought to myself "huh! I wonder where torso falls in that!" Thanks, girl! Happy turkey day and happy healing!

Hi, can tell me how it affected your bra size? I'm considering a lift, but I'm concerned about my breast being too small afterwards because I don't want implants too.

I went to the dr today to have the tape changed. My breast are healing nicely, however I still have some swelling. One side is larger than the other but he said they should even out once the swelling goes down. I have to go back in two weeks for another checkup. No exercising or lifting heavy objects for the next two weeks. I’ll continue to sleep on my back and wear a surgical bra 24/7.

I think my fear involves the nipples being cut but yours look so good. Thank you for sharing!
November 6, 2019
I completely understand. I had that fear and more. Just find you a good board certified dr that has experience doing breast lifts. You will be just fine :-)

They look so good!!!!! Especially for one week out. Also, I spy some great 2-strand twists?! I was just trying to figure out what sort of protective style I need for my procedure coming up in about 6 weeks! Will continue to follow your journey. Any thoughts on how you're going to approach scar treatment? Also have you retained feeling/sensitivity?
November 7, 2019
Thank you @issysf! What a great eye you have :-) Having a protective style is a must for any procedure. Not having to worry about my hair while recovering has been wonderful! Not to mention, I came out of surgery looking cute with my hair done...lol! For now I'm going to continue the tape, and then use an all natural scar cream my dr. gave me, as soon as he gives me the okay to begin using. Surprisingly, I have sensation in my nipples. Prior to the surgery my breast were so dense, I didn't have much sensation in my nipples at all. I'm so excited for you on your upcoming surgery. Please let me know if you have any questions. A few things to consider which no one told me is that you may want to have an extra surgical bra or two, and make sure you have help around the house for at least the first week. Also, start practicing sleeping on your back now. Lastly, talk to your dr about vitamins to take prior to your procedure. Mine started me on a regimen 2 weeks prior.
November 7, 2019
Thank you SO much for the extra advice. If anything else pops into your mind about "things you wish you knew" please don't hesitate to send!. Do you have a surgical bra you liked?! I was just poking around on amazon and saw a few but wanted a reco on an awesome one.
And yes, I've got an Appt for box braids a week before so that should get me thru about 6 weeks!!! :)
November 7, 2019
The surgical bra I have is the Marena Recovery Bra. It fits snug, but that's what it is supposed to do.

One last thing I though of while getting dressed this morning. Make sure to have shirts or sweaters that button in the front. It's so much easier to get dressed and not have to lift your hands over your head while you're recovering.
November 8, 2019
Crazy thing is I am more sore now than I was last week. I'm feeling a lot of sensitivity and burning sensation throughout the day. I really should have took a full two weeks off work.

November 9, 2019
I had burning, soreness & lower back pain for the 1st month then it got better but it lasted at least 6 wks. Happy healing
November 10, 2019
Thanks for sharing your experience. It's encouraging to know it will get better!

They look beautiful! I bet you feel like I do and wish I didn’t put it off. I’m so happy with mine too and I kept putting it off for over 20 years. I’m so mad at myself for not doing it a long time ago. You are going to be so happy as the weeks go on. I’m at 6 weeks and lovin them.
November 8, 2019
Thank you! You're sitting pretty as well :-) This is my year to stop my cycle of procrastinating and do what I've been putting off. I am looking forward to wearing the cute dresses I haven't been able to wear because my breast were too saggy. I'm excited to hear that you are progressing so well. Gives me something to look forward to!

My question is... how do you feel about the vertical scare? That is my big hang up. I realize if I want a lift it is necessary. Thank you
Yes you look fantastic. Would be great. I have always had saggy breasts. Thank you. Ellen
